Female MC's just don't cut it for me, I mean they are talented and all, but it's just not what I listen to at all.

You like Nelly? Respect...lost. Nelly fucking sucks. Nelly is a primary example of "club songs" that you stated you hated. Nelly is just pathetic. Nelly is like Lil' Jon, they both have no talent.

Hip-hop has always been about women. Cash. Living large. Before though, this was okay because rappers were being "real". They were rapping about real life situations, experiences, thoughts. One reason is because gangster rappers are just not "gangsta" anymore. These guys aren't real gangsta rappers. Real gangsta rappers are Tupac, Scarface, Nas (if you consider him one). Nas is the ONLY mainstream rapper I can think of right now that still has that old school touch in him. Yeah, he may talk about bling, he may talk about cash, but he also raps about REAL SHIT. Real fucking shit. I want that shit. I want rappers to rap about real shit. I can't find that in mainstream, so I have to look towards underground.

If you are not a rap fan, have never heard any you've liked, or you're too "IN" with the mainstream, I suggest you download "Harlem Streets" by Immortal Technique. That's a real fucking rapper right there.

Gangsta rap's a west coast movement started by Ice T, talking about LA gangs (crips, bloods etc) mainly. The only mainstream rappers who speak on it are really Snoop and Game

Tupac started this whole thing with Thug Rap. He also spawned Ja Rule.

Nas? Nas isn't the only real mainstream rapper. He's lazy like everyone else, he just makes an afrocentric song instead of a club song to get the dollars because his fans are still waiting on an 'Illmatic'. When Common crosses over with Kanye, then you'll have a real mainstream rapper.

Generic inspirational signature quote? Yeah, why not eh.

If you don't stand for something you will fall for anything

ONE LOVE CREW: REPPIN' REAL HIP-HOP

Define Hip-Hop...
Hip-Hop is a culture and form of ground breaking music and self expression with elements that consisted of the elements of graffiti art, DJing, MCing, and breaking. Today Hip-Hop is considered to be dead in the mainstream because so-called mainstream Hip-Hop doesn't have the elements of hip-hop and have no meaning.

If you're reppin' real hip-hop, copy and paste the text in this signature into your own signature and show it!

Don't stereotype hip-hop as being negative or, god forbid, 'just talking'.
