Re: My Random Thoughts On Hip-Hop
^^ Yeah I saw the video the other day, and It was like damn... Rest In Peace DeShaun Holton, aka Big Proof!
It would be biased opinions if I was just an Eminem fan. I am a HIP HOP FAN. I LISTEN to the music, to the lyrics, and pay attention. With you not knowing how I listen to music, you are obviously misled.
Yes Encore doesn't compare to his previous 3 albums. But like he said, He can never impress you anymore, because you're used to him being so great, he can't improve... But you still haven't broke down to me, why its a "huge let down"

Re: My Random Thoughts On Hip-Hop
^ Yes I agree... Although I would expect to hear more "HUNGER" from him in those early EP's... I hear his hunger mostly in Marshall Mathers LP... Actualy listening to him on Obies new album, the man sounds hungry again.

Mockingbird & Like Toy Soldiers are the only songs on that album that will be remembered when Eminem is done. He could have done more.
Everything else was mediocre, however, I thought Mosh was a good song.

I dont agree with this at all he shouldn't of messed around but what are you going to do.Em is a hip hop legend all of his albums were amazing besides Encore the one he messed up on purpose,And that even had some amazing tracks on it.

Re: My Random Thoughts On Hip-Hop
Great Encore post Shady..
-No. If you think I'm going to dig a rapper cos of a song involving Lil Wayne and Fabolous, you're wrong. Urgh. Might give some of his stuff a listen though, must be a reason everyone loves Cass
-There's a thing about rap-rock, (ie, it's completely shite) that makes any rappers in the genre instantly lose credibility. So everyone doubted Shinoda, but a) he actually loves hip hop and b) he actually has skills. So, er, there ya go.
- I can't remember who analysed Big Weenie, sue me...Nice post, not sure I really agree...I like Em's style on those songs, though. People who diss him for them are usually the ones listening to other rappers talk bullshit.
- Why the fuck does everyone hate on Encore? There's like 3, 4 bad songs and suddenly it becomes the massive thing to hate on it. Some of the shit on there's the best of his career. 50 actually does something on Never Enough. Yellow Brick Road is incredible. Like Toy Soldiers too. I could go on, and no, Encore isn't the best one on there. What's it saying?

ONE LOVE CREW: REPPIN' REAL HIP-HOP
Define Hip-Hop...
Hip-Hop is a culture and form of ground breaking music and self expression with elements that consisted of the elements of graffiti art, DJing, MCing, and breaking. Today Hip-Hop is considered to be dead in the mainstream because so-called mainstream Hip-Hop doesn't have the elements of hip-hop and have no meaning.

Don't stereotype hip-hop as being negative or, god forbid, 'just talking'.

Re: My Random Thoughts On Hip-Hop
Why? Any reason?
(Not saying I disagree just wondering)
Infinite was crazy. I love that album, tight flow and great lyrics in most of it. The comparisons to Nas off that album were kinda lazy- I reckon he was a better artist then, off the back of Infinite and Illmatic (wait for the hate...but listen to em both ) Now they're different artists, and if you judge God's Son and The Eminem Show, say, ya can see how the great (Get Down, Made You Look/Business, Sing For The Moment) outdoes the wack (Zone Out/Soldier?)

So, wait. You're saying he made the album suck on purpose, but we should listen to it anyway?
