Re: My Random Thoughts On Hip-Hop
Shit Dre won't dissapoint. Only thing about Dre is he don't write his own shit. That sucks, but the beats will be hot, and his flow is still nice. Detox will be a classic.

Detox is only gonna disappoint this time...Think about it...He came out with a completely album wide, switched up sound (forgetting the crud that was Dre presents Aftermath and the stuff he did before 2001) and some incredible proteges.
Now, he hasn't been on hiatus at all, or even been ignored. People are watching Dre's every move, checking for Detox. Since 2001, he hasn't changed up his sound at all, and not only has there been talk of Scott Storch doing his beats, Storch has adopted the exact same sound as Dre.
Meanwhile, instead of having an Eminem or an Xzibit, two creative rappers to revive his career, who does he have? 50 Cent? Obie Trice? GTFO.

Yeah, I see what you're sayin'. Although, Storch did co-produce more than half of the tracks on 2001. So, I'm not surprised about that.

Not everyone does nowadays Wack. Especially when you're Dre and you make it absolutely blatant who wrote for you. He's a producer first though.
I don't reckon the beats'll be that hot though. The only great beat I've heard from Dre is California Vacation, and yeah, it's internet hype that that's even his hype...But you can hear his sound in there...
Dre's sound's gettin boring though, now. If I wanted an album full of Scott Storch knock off beats with Cashis, Tony Yayo and Hot Rod 'rapping' over them, I'd ask for it.

Define Hip-Hop...
Hip-Hop is a culture and form of ground breaking music and self expression with elements that consisted of the elements of graffiti art, DJing, MCing, and breaking. Today Hip-Hop is considered to be dead in the mainstream because so-called mainstream Hip-Hop doesn't have the elements of hip-hop and have no meaning.

Scott Storch knockoff? You kidding right? If anything Storch is a Dre knockoff, I mean Dre taught him the game and shit.

Yeee. What I was getting at was, yeah, Scott got on and everything cos of his break on 2001 (and the Roots but whatever ), and when he became a producer himself, they sounded unique.
But now, they sound so similar it's just boring. Game's 'Let's Ride'? If Detox is gonna be a classic, Dre needs to switch up his style.

Well, the thing that is key is that it is Dre's last album as a rap artist. On a normal(not last) album, yes, it may have disappointed if it wasn't the Doc's last solo album. But I strongly believe Dre will bring some good shit with Detox and it will give people a good album to remember his rapping carrer with. Just my thoughts.

Re: My Random Thoughts On Hip-Hop
Today I was going through some of my old mixtapes, and I found 2 Grafh mixtapes. Since I love that "Myspace Jumpoff" song, I listened to them. They are crazy. One of them is the "Bring That Money Back'' mixtape. That is hot, and the other one is called "I Don't Care" I think. That one is crazy, he's got a nice flow and his beats are nice also. Grafh is the truth, yall need to check him out if ya haven't yet.

Fucking awesome, cant wait to hear it! I love remixes, but a 15 minute jumpoff with those guest will be absolute madness!!
Also, Jin announced on his latest video myspace blog what the prizes are...
Inside 5 random CD's there will be a ticket that says you won the runner-up prize. Which means you get a phone call from Jin, anywhere in the world, anytime.
And the randomly selected Grand Prize winner will find a ticket in their CD that gets them a PERSONALLY recorded song about them performed by Jin! Not only will Jin write a song about you & record it, he will come to your house for the day and spend time with you. Anywhere in the world, not just the States... Also.. every copy of the new album ordered will be personally signed by Jin.
