Re: My Random Thoughts On Hip-Hop
Luda murdered him on the original Stomp (why the hell they take TI off anyway ). Luda's a better battler than any of them, but I ain't heard Cass battle or even seen the Freeway battle. Might have a look for it now.

ONE LOVE CREW: REPPIN' REAL HIP-HOP
Define Hip-Hop...
Hip-Hop is a culture and form of ground breaking music and self expression with elements that consisted of the elements of graffiti art, DJing, MCing, and breaking. Today Hip-Hop is considered to be dead in the mainstream because so-called mainstream Hip-Hop doesn't have the elements of hip-hop and have no meaning.

Re: My Random Thoughts On Hip-Hop
That 'strike the shepherd and the sheep will scatter' line by Freeway was ill. Two nice freestyles but as a battle, one of the worst I've seen. Battling ain't just about who has the better freestyle
(Yer I double posted...'uppin', 'bumpin', whatever)

Cass was going off the top of the head, I heard most of that Freeway stuff on mixtapes and albums.

Man, if you think cassidy isnt anything special then you havent listened to enough of his freestyles, or songs. I suggest you listen to his ima hustla LP. Hes the truth. Listen to "6 minutes" featuring lil wayne anf fabolous, and "am to pm". And try to find any of his mixtapes as well. There're all good.

Re: My Random Thoughts On Hip-Hop
I only like oldschool politically-themed hip hop like Public Enemy.
But that's just me.

Re: My Random Thoughts On Hip-Hop
Encore Was a great album... The reason why people thought it sucked is simply because Eminem showed us how great he is lyrically in his previous albums, and honestly Encore wasn't on the same level as the other LP's. With that being said, people thought it sucked. However, if Encore would of been the first album everyone heard from Eminem, it would of been viewed as a great album. Just not what we are used to hearing from Eminem... But as an artist you have to make sure you release different material, otherwise you will get stale. So Encore, is a great album, just with a different sound. You really need to listen and understand what he is saying in his songs.

Re: My Random Thoughts On Hip-Hop
OK som body took down my thread.. But
Again and again on Encore, the rapper challenges himself just to keep things interesting. Allow me to illustrate: Disguised by its childish title, "Big Weenie" is actually the album's most forceful flip-off. When Em (purposefully) messes up a line in the verses, he gives haters what they want, then immediately snatches it away. "I fucked up (pause)/Psyche! I'm kidding again, you idiot." Shady proves his airtight flow throughout. Even his mistakes hug the beat.
"My First Single" continues the self-defeating self-justification. In this case, the rapper ruins a promising beat with burp noises, but it's more than simple potty talk. For any other artist, the hook would mean solid gold, but Eminem proves he's good enough to just throw it away. And you'll probably still like it.
Unlike his first three records, Encore isn't named after any of Em's aliases, yet its combination of vulgarity and virtuosity makes it the most accurate reflection of the real Slim Shady to date. Perhaps that's why Em creates yet another identity, calling himself "Rain Man" in the track of the same name. He's a genius not with cards but with rhymes.
