Motley Crue

Tonight is the night of the very final Motley Crue concert for the band at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA.

Motley Crue was a metal band formed in 1981 featuring Vince Neil on vocals, Nikki Sixx on bass, Mick Mars on guitar, and Tommy Lee on drums. They were a big part of the 80s hair metal scene. With albums such as "Girls, Girls, Girls" and "Dr. Feelgood", The Crue were one of the most loved and successful bands of the 80s hair metal scene.

Are there any fans on here of the band? Has anyone seen the band live?

I've been a fan since I was in middle school. I would watch their music videos and documentaries on VH1 Classic all the time. I saw the band for the first and last time back in October. That was one hell of a show. My favorite song from them was Wild Side.

RIP Motley Crue. Thank you for the memories and entertaining me with your music.

Re: Motley Crue

I like the Crue but they're a far better studio band than they are a live band but they've had a stellar career

Re: Motley Crue

Pretty big fan. Wish they released a final studio album but it is what it is. Love some of their older albums. Never did see them live, was pretty close in 2009 but opted for Slipknot instead.

Home Sweet Home has one of my favorite guitar solos ever.

Re: Motley Crue

The Dirt is a must read for all die hard rock n' rollers. Saw the Crue live in the early '00's. Killer show. Samantha Malone on drums rather than Tommy, the gal held her own. Megadeth opened. One hell of a night. Glad to see they are ending it on their own terms. Won't be a dry eye at the Staples Center tonight once they hit those first notes of Home Sweet Home.

Re: Motley Crue

Motley Crue is awesome. One of the best Glam Metal bands. And the last song they released is pretty good too.

Rockhead likes this.

I accept rep.

Re: Motley Crue

I'm actually amazed that Mick Mars is still able to pick up a guitar.

Shit, same for Nikki Sixx come to think of it.

Still, they released some absolute crackers and yes, The Dirt is an absolute essential read for anybody who even has a passing interest in music.

Re: Motley Crue

The Crue were a great band but Vince Neil is awful now. I thought Axl Rose was bad but Neil takes the cake.

The band was playing awful then Vince starts singing and its like OMG is he singing in english or maybe he is having a stroke

Re: Motley Crue

I thought a Dirt movie was supposed to come out

I read the Heroin Diaries years ago by Nikki Sixx and loved it. Agreed that Vince Neil is currently absolutely awful live. Still would have liked to see them. What is everyone's favorite album?

Shout at the Devil for me with Dr. Feelgood second.
