I absolutely love Queens Of The Stone Age! IMO they are probably the most brilliant rock band in music today. Every album they release blows me away, and that is a hard thing to do now a days seeing as how most bands lose creativity after their 3rd record. Not these guys. Their last record had such amazing grove and melody to it.

First 4 albums are godly, last 2 - meh(bar the odd track), I appreciate that all bands need to switch up but its like they slowly lost that fat hypnotic stoner groove for a more thin, upbeat sound. Saw them play a big arena show last year and it was good but not a patch on the band I saw on the Songs For The Deaf tour, they had one of the greatest lineups any band has ever had on that record with Josh, Nick, Grohl and Mark Lanegan. Rated R is still my fave overall, pretty close to a perfect album.

Kyuss are absolute legends too, totally unfuckwithable. Desert Sessions stuff is pretty cool, Them Crooked Vultures was kinda dull, less than the sum of its part. Pretty impressive resume overall for mr Homme.

Agree with most of this, except for the fact i think they became shit after the third album.

Well. Kyuss >>>>> QOTSA anyway

Been a QOTSA fan for years. I could listen to any live version of A Song for the Dead, it's such an awesome song.

I miss Nick Oliveri too.

First two albums are godly ('Mexicola' fuuuuuck). Songs For The Deaf is fucking great too, if a tad meandering in some parts. Couldn't really care about the rest of their output, although I've yet to hear the latest.

Man, I was a fucking HUGE fan of QOTSA back when Rated R came out. I mean proper fanatic. I remember pretending to be a bad ass while listening to 'Feel Good Hit Of The Summer' on repeat in my Sixth Form common room.

In the fade is my favourite QOTSA song. Whole album is great tho.

The vocal take on quick and to the pointless is fucking amazing aswell, legit cracks me up when I hear it.
