Re: Midyear Album Highlights (2014)

Handpicked a few I'm enjoying a lot:

Baton Rouge - 'Totem'

Really fucking good French emo.

Fucked Up - Glass Boys

Really good punk rock, used to be incredible, but they're definitely better than they were on the last album. Catchy, fun music.

And this one's cheating..

Pariso / Svalbard - split LP

This isn't actually out yet, but there's a few songs released. It's a split LP, with a few songs from each band, and two in which the members have collaborated to make joint songs.

I implore you to check these out if you're into intelligent heavy music, cause these guys are the shit.

Gonna have to check out King Buzzo.

New DFA 1979 is solid, if not as mind blowing as their debut.

I love professional-wrestling.

New additions:

THE PHYSICAL WORLD by Death From Above 1979

Three amazing albums. Can't wait to hear Caribou, Jessie Ware and Foxygen next.
