Also adding on to what was said in the closed host thread. Mafia used to be extremely fun, as are a lot of things when you first start doing them though. Tbh I'm not sure why Magic always says the section is now worse quality wise, unless he means compared to last year or whatever when he started and I wasn't around. Back when I used to host and shit the quality was a lot worse than it is now, but people took it less seriously and it was more of a bit of fun as opposed to everyone just trying to prove how good they are. Ego's matter too much now.

tbf, I enjoyed mafia when I first started as everyone hated me and wanted me to do badly and so I set out to prove that I could be good. when people recognized me as good that was kind of all ruined and my motivation was lost. also I've been town 26 or 27 times out of 29 or 30. that is more than 90% being town. that is an awful rate and my interest in mafia has died completely.

also the egos thing is once again probably my fault but I never intended it to be like this. once again, people always used to call me bad so I wanted to do things that were and then brag about them as annoying arrogant douchebag after I did well. I like to talk myself up when everyone thinks I'm bad, but if people think i'm good then once again the whole point is lost.

also so many people that have wanted me to stop playing will finally get their wish so they should be happy.

I would like more special themed games. I think my game (Saw) was a great example, just executed lousy. Something that has unique day/night phases. Maybe not so often so it's like something special when it happens, but once every 2 months, maybe.

if I lasted until end game in christmas mafia and it ended up lasting as long as it has now then I would have had 1000+ posts. no lie. ACTIVITY IS OFF THE CHARTS. but yeah, it aint happening.
