I made 1 and 2 by the way. My favorites others made were CM Dealer's surgeon role, CF's Flo Rida turned Soulja Boy role, Browniedude's Weatherman, and the two roles Kantos gave (Shatterer and Bodyguard).
KIF's Chris Benoit was a fun addition though.

I might try and add some more roles to this thread.
Each game should have at least 3 game-specific roles though.

Kinda Agree if possible, putting your own spin on exisiting roles also works, so games don't become stagnant.

By the way... thoughts on the weatherman role? I made that in like 3 minutes, but something along those lines has promise. I like roles that actually can be used as a strategical tool (AKA Michael Schofield in Prison Break) rather than purely a "pick a person and hope" role that most are.
Some interesting roles in Project Mafia. Drew Carey and Soulja Boy were both innovative

Windy night would be my least favourite of the 3. I like the other 2 a lot. I dislike roles which randomise things in general, although we did have a random cop in GTA, but meh.
The idea with the Soilja Boy/Inserts shitty rapper role was that the town would have to trust the player to quote him and allow him to help them.
Obviously I'd allow the role to ask to be quoted, but most people are skeptical of things like that, so to change the meta is good.
Alternatively if this type of role were to be used often, installing a mafia type role like this would change things around.
Another role I liked, that I've only seen myself/X and Nov and to a different variant Dan marino use is the "See what happens at night role"
Lemme see can I dig it out, I like it tbf.

Hmm yeah there are a few technical and balance problems I don't like with those roles tbh. I mean, what if someone changes who they target 10 minutes before night is posted? Makes things more difficult than they need to be and also makes false claiming for the mafia significantly more difficult (in role heavy games the mafia need to be permitted as strong of a safe claim as they can).
Randomization I don't like either, I also don't like "50% of the time" roles or the like. But yeah, weather mafia when I run it in the future will have certain elements like that. Some people's roles will only work in certain conditions etc.

A cop that works 50% of the time? Stuff like that, that's not as bad. As long as he's told, I guess. Or even worse 50% chance of being sane.
A doctor that has a 50% chance of killing someone..now that's a bastard role..*notes it down*..actually I like that role, lol. But in general I see your point
Hmm and balance is always hard with new(er) roles alirght, still i feel it prob could be balanced.

50% Bodyguard is an example of a role I thoroughly dislike. A 50% chance the bodyguard dies and a 50% chance the attacker dies. That is FAR too game changing of a predicament for a flick of a coin to accurately decide.
Man I wanna host another game now, going to be ages before I can though.

Hmm CAR mafia imo.
The real question is what does CAR stand for?
Yea bodyguard is a meh role in that regard.
I'm liking the fact this thread is getting use, it needs it.
