So...I got scared because someone voted me based on mosunderstanding my post and left the thread? Explain how that makes any sense and isn't a super shitty reason to add here?
No, more so it seemed like you disappeared at the time, and when you first came back you completely ignored that there was suspicion on you at first. Just in case it disappeared?
Although most of Nov's reads are fine, the PHEN0M one I think is naive though. I think it's just as possible he misread as anything else? Don't see a scum motivation to bring it up in the first place - unless he thouht it was true which would apply as either alignment
Funnily enough I was actually about to chuck a vote on him instead of yourself before I left. His reasoning just seemed legit to me, I don't know why he would lie about me editing my post and then backtrack and admit he was lying.
I'd agree with most of your assessments, although I haven't played with ziggy but I have a feeling he could be scum, again maybe I'm not use to his play. Faraday I'm thinking town too but with him you never know cuz he tends to play the same whether town or scum. As for me, there was only a few people posting, thought that would give me a chance to be able to get a read on someone, chose Nov and checked his reaction. If I truly thought he had edited and was scum I would still be pushing right now.
And what was the read you got from my reaction?
You wouldn't? So you're trying to tell us that you only 'try' when you're town?
No. My point was that it was 3am his time, I wouldn't be keeping myself awake to fake scumhunt (which is quite tiring to do well), whilst there is always a lot more reason to stay on and post when you are town as there are always new topics coming up that you have a legit opinion on etc. Maybe doesn't matter in Kenny's case though because he was staying up to watch Liverpool.
I dunno. Faraday's answered my questions pretty well, though it took a while. I agree with getting reactions out of people and on day 1 that can mean picking on petty things and acting like they're important things, like the random vote and the mentioning the town team name.
If I have a decent initial reason to think that Faraday is scum, then there really isn't all that much bar a claim that HE can do to change my mind, and that has stayed true so far. He is TOO good to not be able to properly defend himself, therefore a good defense from him does nothing for me, nor does good solid reads.
Nov - 90% town/10% scum. I don't find Nov to sheep at all, so him voting Faraday is interesting.
Huh? Who did I sheep? Yourself? That was not sheeping, sheeping is voting someone just because someone else did. No offence but I wouldn't choose now to start sheeping and I wouldn't choose you as the subject. Also, I actually offered additional reasoning as to why I was voting him.
im not sheeping skyfall. if anything nov sheeped me.
This is even more absurd. I voted him before you + I didn't even know that you suspected him. You clearly stated after I voted Fap that you agreed with my views, so how was I sheeping YOU?
Does anark always pick one thing at a time to focus on? He just seems to go for one thing at a time that I find kind of odd, is this how he generally plays making a big deal out of one thing---> moving on>
Focusing on just one thing is a scumtell no matter who the player really, unproductive play whilst appearing helpful and active.
hey faraday i agree with you about PHEN0M -> PHEN0M lies about him editing -> PHEN0M is town b/c he told town a lie about me so let's vote Faraday.
See the top of this post.
IMPULSE I had to parse that PHEN0M sentence twice but it's certainly an odd reason for someone (particularly Nov) to give him a townread. I don't know, I might be biased in that I heard Nov was bad as scum, in the Host thread - but I should probably check out his play to meta if I'm around later. Seems :effort:, though.
I was unlucky to be caught both times with info before the end of day two, although yes my town game is much better than my scum one.
Haven't seen this type of play from Obby before. Very assertive.
Like he knows....
Agreed. I was scum with him a few games back and he was different to how he is this game.
I hope IMP's posts about day one reads being useless weren't serious by the way. It it definitely possible to form accurate reads on day one.
Also, @PHENOM. Metas are extremely important, if you don't take them into account you may aswell be new to the site and treat every player as if they are the same, which would be hindering.
Couple of thoughts...
Don't really care for CP's vote on me, IMP is misreading me too, which is more surprising. PHENOM did a complete 360 on me and proceeded to sheep their thoughts, eh.
McLovin could definitely be scum. In his first few games he has been town and has appeared to try harder. It is common for first time scum to be active but really obviously unhelpful and he fits that bill at the moment, seems like he doesn't know what he should and shouldn't be posting as scum.
I liked CHAMP's points against Fap, was strange that he didn't vote though.
Fap has indeed contradicted himself this game. Skyfall is correct in that Ziggler's vote on Fitz was pretty much the same thing as Fap's vote on McLovin, regardless of whether he disagrees and regardless of the insults he throws Skyfall's way. Also, he quoted one of my earlier posts saying that he had no reason to worry about one vote from Skyfall, but when another two were chucked on him he all of a sudden became extremely over defensive. I don't find over defensiveness all that scummy, but in this situation it was strange.
