The way he's presenting his case is pretty obvious. He wants to catch you in a lie or making up information. What exactly he has I don't know but Roger wants you to claim first because him claiming first could potentially make it easier for you to lie.

I'll go back to the color idea. If Roger's role tells him if someone is green or not green and he goes and claims the role and says he got "not green" for you. If you're scum you're obviously going to say you're red.

I know you're good at this game Magic so either you're scum and trying to get Roger to claim first or you're just being an idiot as town.
