Irrespective of who anyone targets, via role usage you can work out everyone's sanity anyway. Its why dethy mafia is broken. Its open setup, we know the split, it is always advantageous to lynch in any mafia game, thus there is no reason why play cannot be used. It is imperitive to vote based on how people play, rather than waiting for cop results. iirc the signup only mentioned sane/insane cops as well but i'm not 100% on that.
I've also got this open setup I'll probably do after Fitz: 6 or 7 cops (2 sane, 3 paranoid, 1 insane, 1 naive), 3 millers, 4 scum, and a one shot vig.
That's what Roger posted in the discussion thread. If he could come here and actually give us the set up for this open set up game that would really help.
So yeah, you need to cop someone that's scum and see their flip and then cop yourself to determine your sanity.
There's no reason why we can vote based on play while getting our cops to get their shit together. If all the cops copped the same person and the vig shot that person we would be able to go into Day 2 and lynch based off play, same with Day 3, and by Day 4 the cops would be able to give us results that would be viable. So there are 3 days that we should have been voting based off play. Instead we no lynched Day 1, and all the cops are going to cop a different person.
I'm going to go ahead and say that 3 or 4 of our cops won't figure out their sanity until the game is over and Roger tells them. We're not going about it the right way.
Actually now that I'm thinking about it.... Copping a miller Night 1, and then yourself should be enough to tell you your sanity. Yeah! If you get scum for both results, you're Paranoid. If you get town for both you're naive. If you get Scum for the miller and town for yourself you're sane. If you get town for the miller and scum for yourself you're insane.
