phitz brings up an interesting point. he didn't change his story until i mentioned boss in my pm, and everyone accused him of a scum slip. it went from him being blocked to him using his role on himself and it failing to protect BOSS.

what makes no sense is that his role should work hypothetically, and my situation gives him an out, which i think he's exploiting. unless there's an omitted section of boss's role pm or some mod notes, our roles should have worked, especially the bodyguard.

Roleblock wouldn't work on BOSS, Watcher wouldn't work on BOSS. Those roles usually don't work when a lightning rod is at play. Bodyguard typically does, though.

I was considering a scenario where a Rolestopper was used in combination with a Busdriver or something like that but that would be more speculation which people seem to look down upon plus there is a flaw in that, in that it wouldn't explain why a second person was able to target BOSS

Clearly there is a role which prevents any roles from affecting a certain person which is why people couldn't use their roles as that role would have targeted BOSS.
