Striker don't be dumb, he's making a point that if you're going to lie detect him it doesn't matter what alignment he says he is if really is town.

i.e says he is heroes aligned and is actually a villan it will come back as a lie.

I'm not saying you should claim straight out, but usually if the pressure builds on you you'll handle it one of two ways if I am going to indulge in a bit of past-play analysis I thnk it will become apparent if you are town way before there is any need for you to claim.

Plus you could always try the refusal to claim thing.
