also mods should use deadlines, be they 24 or 32 or something hour. it gives players a sense of urgency and removes some of the lethargy at the beginning of the game.
I've said this numerous times in games before and it just doesn't work. Town is pretty incompetent in set ups with no role information. 3 games that I've played have lead to town not lynching a single scum player.
