Stephanie Mayer is a terrible, terrible author who doesn't have a clue about writing. Her notions of romance are completely distorted and reveals some sort of self hatred. But that's not even a big problem of mine. She's free to write about what she wants, but THE WAY she writes it is among the worst of things I've ever read.

Just because you didn't like Twilight, doesn't make it "utter shit." You're being extremely critical of her writing. It is unfortunate that better works of prose aren't recognized but I think Meyers deserves every penny and ounce of recognition she has received for creating a story that has entertained the masses. I love it and I don't agree at all with the bolded part. Lets not go back and forth about this. I'm starting to get

It's been years since I read her novels but I remember everything flowed so smoothly and she just was able to create a story that I and many others girls fell in love with. You know when you just find something entertaining and you can't put it down? That's how her novels (though New Moon was slow) were for me. I'm sure there are millions of girls and women who are grateful for her contribution to pop culture. Twilight is not bloody Crime and Punishment, I should know I've read Dostoevsky and majored in English, but it doesn't have to be and it's good that it isn't so heavy and deep. It's simple entertainment--an easy to read page-turner that is so romantic. I guess it just comes down to preference.
