Sylar doesn't fly. He uses his telekinesis to push against the ground, forcing himself up. He's been doing it since the first season.

I haven't seen any of Season 3/4 Heroes, just wanted to explain that.

I had mixed feelings about the ending.

It was contrived, but what is more important is that they need to come out strong in the next season despite losing Sylar.

The Nathan-Sylar inner conflict will happen eventually, but I'd prefer if they don't do it immediately and let it play out a little.
