Re: Hogan lowballed by WWE; Staying with TNA
I'm not saying casual fans don't care about what happens in the ring. I'm saying it doesn't really matter the quality, whether it's a 3 star match or a 5 star match. Hogan is an example. back in the day Hogan himself was not a great wrestler. he had set moves, but he was the biggest star in wrestling. you can be a great wrestler, but if you don't have the other factors then you're less likely to be successful, but if you have the other factors and can wrestle OK then you can still become a major star.
it doesn't even matter what the number is. I guarantee you of the million plus viewers on TV a majority of them care about more than just the in ring wrestling.
great wrestling matches don't really mean much without a storyline. part of what the BFG series sucks, a bunch of random matches with no feuds or storylines.
these so called TNA fans that don't care about names isn't your target audience.
what makes one a TNA fan like this anyway? so other fans that like TNA and guys like Hogan, Hardy, Angle, ect can't be true TNA fans? that's stupid itself.
it wasn't Hogan who had Jarrett lay down. Hogan was set to wrestle Jarrett and win back the championship. it was Russo who came out and made Jarrett lay down so that Hogan could win that way. I can't remember if I was watching all the time back then, but I don't disagree with this. it's Hulk Hogan, who would have made a better champion and move the ratings at the time more than Jarrett.
