Re: 2013 so far

Yeah I'm sorry but with only 4 ppvs a year, it's been feeling like the product has been heading nowhere for months until weeks before each ppv. There's also been less ppv quality matches. Even the best tv matches this year wasn't as good as they could've been had they taken place on ppv.

Re: 2013 so far

Personally, in 2012 I was really intrigued. Watched every PPV, looked forward to ALL of them to be honest - really enjoyed Roode being champ. To be honest, I started losing interest once he lost the title, killed the Storm/Roode match to me despite how fucking awesome the match was. I really enjoyed Roode being the star of the show, can't explain why - a good heel champ makes things interesting to watch.

Where with Bully, I love him but the annoying ass Aces & 8's shit - I was only intrigued the night of the heel turn & the few shows after that.

Don't get me wrong, still like the shows - but it's not the same.

There's still time for 2013 to get better, but right now, the product is very lackluster.
I disagree with that. The Dirty Heels/Chavo & Hernandez/Bad Influence matches, Aries vs. Sting, Aries vs. Roode, Styles vs. Angle, and both Taryn Terell vs. Gail Kim matches, among others were all good-great.

AJ with new gimmick makes 2013 interesting

Mod note: Do not put this shit back in your sig. If you do you'll be banned. No need for baiting here.

My note: Oh gee. Cant people stand up for themselves without mod support?

Re: 2013 so far

Let's hope Aces and 8s ends at BFG this year or soon after. Right now with the Sabin win they really have nothing. They should have had DOC and Knux win the tag belts perhaps, but st the moment without the title their reason to be there is gone and the whole reason Bully's master plan was in play. Now with Bully not Champion what is stopping Hulk from just firing all of them? The only thing I can think of was the BFG 12 tag match stip, but not even sure if that is even remembered any more. Just fire them all....

Re: 2013 so far

I got back into wrestling in 2012 after an 8 year hiatus and had never watched TNA before. I had only heard of TNA upon joining this forum. I can't say for certain when exactly I started watching TNA but I know it was before Slammiversary(2102). I enjoyed what I was watching and I even told a friend of mine to check it out, he watched Slammi and was pretty impressed.

I felt TNA was doing well and at times was entertaining me more than the WWE at the time. I slowly felt that TNA was losing by the end of the year and I then stopped watching wrestling altogether for about 2 months and I haven't really enjoyed TNA at all after that.

That's just me though.

Re: 2013 so far

Honestly, I don't think 2013 has been as lacklustre as most people say. The product is not at its best, and I'm tired of all the stable warfare already, but they've made some big improvements, particularly taking the show out onto the road. The Impact Zone consistently provided some of the worst crowds in wrestling history: half clueless tourists being told who to cheer and boo, half hopeless smarks trying to get themselves over. Most TNA crowds on the road have created a much better atmosphere, more raucous and lively, and for me, that impacts a lot on my enjoyment of the show.

This year, we've had some highly enjoyable bouts, feuds and moments, such as the return of Sabin, Dirty Heels/Bad Influence, Aries/Sabin and Terrell/Kim. Bully's been solid on the mic. There have been some absolute clusterfucks (the situation with Suicide/MANIK for one; the paucity of women wrestlers in a promotion famed for its knockouts another!), but none so egregious as Claire Lynch. 2013 won't go down as one of TNA's best years, but its Impacts have been exciting enough for me, and I think the groundwork for a good 2014 is being laid.

Re: 2013 so far

This year has had some very bright spots but.. Overall it's just mediocre.. The matches lately have been very cut and dry.. ie: Get in, do your signatures, bring it home".. Perfect example was the Ultimate X match this week.. It was without a doubt the most boring and un-inventive Ultimate X match I've ever seen.. Every storyline is dragging in the mud and just seems like the 30th incarnation of something I've already seen.

tl;dr: They're in cruise control in the mediocre and redundant lane.

Re: 2013 so far

Definitely poorer compared to last year. The more Hogan(s) on my TV, the less TNA holds my attention.
