Watched this yesterday and it was a nice change for the regular TNA schedule. I like this format of matches that you won't see elsewhere in TNA.
Opener wasn't that good, i don't know what really went wrong with it, but i just didn't feel it.
But then we get the Old school vs. the New school:
Absolutely freaking fantastic tag team match! Just sign Nese and Cameron already! Tag team division needs guys like these! I enjoyed both men so much. Old school guys were great too, but these new school guys stole the show and the crowd loved them too.
Chavo Vs. Robbie E? Load of crap in my book. Not much to say about it, a filler.
Ultimate X match was an ok bout, but that's about it. I think it's a bit pointless to have this kind of gimmick match if you don't have something special on the line for it. And that is exactly where it failed, it was just a bunch of fast wrestlers jumping around and trying to catch that pointless X. Even though i bitch about it, i didn't hate it.
Bad reputation Vs. Canadian Destroyer and Sonjay Dutt was another good battle in this PPV, you just can't go wrong with these guys. Very good, technical and fast paced wrestling, AND we got that DESTROYAHHHH too. one of my favorite matches of this event.
RVD Vs. Jerry Lynn was a nice old school brawl. I was a bit worried that they would end it too soon, but we got a nice match with good moves and you could see that these guys have worked before, even though RVD is far from his prime days, i think Lynn's presence and the fact that it was his last match made RVD really bring his A game to this.
Main Event was good. Austin Aries just rules. IMO Joe was a bit sloppy (or is it just me?) but it didn't even ruin this. Their styles work together nicely and both men are able to wrestle a great match anywhere anytime
