I think you summed it up with that statement: "tricks". Tricks will get you a small surge, but it won't last. Just like WWE with The Rock. They get a big surge for WM then fall to mediocre (And even lows) for the rest of the year until The Rock pops back in for another $350k 10-minute promo.

TNA needs to stop using tricks and start forging new ground. WCW started with tricks, but ultimately their creation of nWo (A brand within a brand) catapulted them ahead of the WWF. Granted they got the idea from NJPW, but they didn't just take the idea, they expanded on it and grew it. Black & White shaky-cam interviews, promos that were more realistic than canned-responses, wrestlers being seen as people and not characters, etc.

Re: TNA's lack of stars problem

If CM Punk comes back to TNA before the age of 40, I will eat shit and post a video of it. Not happening in a million years, Punk and TNA did not get along when he left, Punk couldn't get over with the crowd.

th sad truith that al of u cant ceem to grrasp is dat wrestlig is getig les poplar each day and no bodde caires abot it

Re: TNA's lack of stars problem

Hardy was a way bigger star than Punk when both were in the WWE so punk coming to TNA will achieve nothing.
If you wanna bring someone for name value try batista.

The reason why we don't get fresh ideas and promotions rising in American Pro Wrestling is because the majority of the community is happy with the same old shit and will reject any chance of change. There is a risk in doing new things, 9 times out of 10, it leads to 50+ pages of bitching and moaning. While business gets turned into a dictatorship and more and more out of touch. Support the indies, support New Pro Wrestling.

Like someone said, the Impact Zone is doing them no wonders.
