Well the shop wasn't really intended for that purpose, and I'm pretty sure it even says in the rules that requesting isn't allowed. Some people have just decided to add that to their shops and no one has really seen the need to disallow it or they haven't noticed. I find that doing it through PM is okay but it devalues what the shops really can be. The only purpose shops are for selling banners but thats what makes it just a one dimensional part of the GFX section. Making it have other aspects of GFX would be better served. Its much better than waiting for people that you want doing the banner but then you find they don't do the banner in the end. Posting in their shop would make them actually feel like the people who request are appreciative of their work.

First of all i must say you brought up some good points, Merce.

I would like to have the showroom as the main part, since it's the actual graphics section of the forum and i think that means it's more into the making more than requesting. If you get what i mean.

I know when I've brought this up in the past people have got the impression that I think the section should be all about the showroom, the league and the shop, which isn't the case (although I do believe those should be given the most precedence).

Well like i stated in the text above the quote, i pretty much think this way. I don't say we should forget the requests, absolutely not, but what we should do is to increase the actual making part of the graphics. And what would be the better way than brought up the showroom as the main part of the section? This would also (little tiny possibility) increase the number of the graphic makers in the section, and this would increase the activity and.. Well it's pretty simple mathematics.

That's all i have to say.

I totally 100% agree.

The whole point of a GFX forum is to show off graphics, and talk about graphics. Not to waltz in whenever you want and ask for a banner.

Whats more annoying is that all the respected decent artists hardly ever do any of these requests and its almost always the newer artists applying in order to make a quick buck.

Make the showroom the main forum plz.

Is it me or would it make more sense instead of having a GFX Showroom why not show your pieces of work in the graphics showroom section then open a request section.

1 For 7, I'm still pretty outta place. It wasn't so much ass kissing as it was admiration for you as a graphics poster, cuz I do think your good, but take it for whatever you please. Same goes for Jae, Thear, Isaac etc...

You guys are doing fine though, Laz is pretty ownage at graphics, he'll tear it up once he gets back into the swing of things.
