Might just be because of the computer then. But you seem to have a lot of general problems with PS, you might want to reinstall or something. The copy Killswitch uploaded in FE has been pretty safe for me if that's not the one you used.

If you only have 440mb of RAM, the brushes in particular are going to load pretty slow, Lexie.
I have 2GB of RAM, and around 1200 individual Brushes and it takes forever to load

I don't think there's much you can do about it unless you get more RAM.

WTF You load all your brushes every single time? You tool.

I got CS2 from the adobe site (trial version) and patched it from a torrent and the basic brushes never ever worked. CS2 ran like a complete dog on my crappy old PC but once I got the basic brushes emailed to me and replaced them in the program files it's running much better. See if you can work out which brush and gradient files are doing it and replace them.

My brushes are all in Photoshop to begin with, but it just take ages to load the Brushes Panel, with the little previews of them
