Part of the reason that Goldberg stood out was because he was an athlete, not a bodybuilder. Late 80's through to mid 90's wrestling was dominated by glamour muscles and steroids leading to a lot of guys who looked legit but were very limited.
Lesnar is easily the most overrated athlete of all time in regards to his combination of strength, speed and size. Sure he is an athletic freak but pro and college football are full of 6ft3+ 250+ athletic freak guys in top condition. Ofcourse there could be more Lesnars in the future.
The real question is how many worldclass athletes are going to go to developmental for peanuts over the NFL etc?
