How would you restore Ryback?

The question is simple. Setting aside any like/dislike of Ryback you may or may not have, it's merely something I wonder. If you were responsible for the booking, how would you book Ryback with the goal of bringing him back to credibility to be an eventual main-eventer?

Notice I say "Ryback" as in, I'm not really looking for the whole "repackage him with a new name and gimmick" shtick that I usually see far too often when someone tries to salvage a WWE personality who's been booked poorly. So what are your ideas?

Turn him back to face and just do what they did before. Have him win all his matches. It's simple but the simplest formulas are the ones that work. Fans know if you win, we take you seriously, if you lose, you're a geek.

Re: How would you restore Ryback?

Go back to the "Feed Me More" gimmick. Not in the sense of beating up jobbers and chanting, but have him pick his fights. Have him feud with both "Real Americans" at the same time. I'd say have him come out and pick a fight with one of the monster heels, but they're all faces right now.

Among horses, Red Hare. Among posters, RetepAdam.

Hmm, random thought, I wonder if they did have him away for a while, rename and repackage him, wiuld people chant Ryback instead of Goldberg?

Re: How would you restore Ryback?

At this point in time,I don't think there's any possible way you can revive the momentum he once had. The WWE should've kept his surreal like monster type aura he had in 2012. Making him seem more human, and cowardly is what ruined the guy and it's for this very reason I will never forgive the WWE....

"A reset, for me, is what I want. I have so much more, like going back to the woods or wherever the new place would be, and kind of recapturing that moment. That was the whole message of those first vignettes. They were shot in daylight on purpose. The idea was that monsters are real and they walk among you in the daylight. We're not hiding in the dark or back alleyways but they're real and they live with you. The real monsters are human. Don't fear the boogeyman, fear your neighbor."-Captivating in every sense of the word.
Top 5:

1) Bray Wyatt
2) Kevin Owens
3) AJ Styles
4) Baron Corbin
5) Kalisto

Put the title on him and keep it on him for 435 days

Ziggler vs Orton needs to happen at a big 4 PPV

Re: How would you restore Ryback?

Turn him back face.

If they want him to gain back his momentum and have long term investment into the character, they have no choice. Ryback, as you can see, CANNOT pull off a convincing heel run and it doesn't help that his only PPV win was in an unimportant and irrelevant feud against Chris Jericho. They pushed him too hard, too fast. He should have beat Henry at Mania and continue his momentum to where he COULD have convincingly met Cena at a later date. This heel turn is a bust and if they want to get him back on track, he has to go back face. Period.

Re: How would you restore Ryback?

I'd turn him back face and start from there. Needs a long ass time to regain the momentum he had though. I'll make him dominant again. Have him start winning matches. Have him in midcard feuds. Give him a title and let him hold onto it for a long time.

I believe he is now damaged beyond repair.
