Kayfabe Financial News
WWE's second quarter revenues totaled $152 million. The third quarter wraps up in a couple of weeks, and financials should be released shortly afterwards -- revealing if making Randy Orton the face of the company and doing everything short of killing Daniel Bryan is truly "best for business."
While third quarter numbers are usually significantly lower than the second quarter due to Wrestlemania, this years SummerSlam -- which was among the most anticipated in history -- along with Triple H's assertion that his vision is best for the company, should cause 2012's 104.2 million to pale in comparison to 2013.
If WWE fails to see a significant increase in it's third quarter year-to-year numbers, look for Vince McMahon to step in and reevaluate the direction of the company. This could result in McMahon bringing John Cena back early from injury and giving him title shot, after title shot; ultimately, resulting in increased merchandise sales from the 2 - 7 year-old demographic -- A strategy WWE has applied successfully since 2005.
...And Bryan said, "Let there be YES!: and there was YES!"
