Fandango As A Face

I have this weird feeling that Fandango will become a face. He is really not a heel at all. What is there to dislike about his character? He is funny, good in the ring, charismatic and he has a gorgeous woman named Summer Rae at his side. WWE has not done anything to really build the guy as a true heel. They don't have him walking out of matches anymore so there is nothing to really hate on. Its almost like they want crowds to cheer him. I don't know how to explain it, but i think Curtis will end up being a mid card comedic face.

Re: Fandango As A Face

I've been saying this all along. Fandango is a great ring talent. Some people don't understand his gimmick, let me clarify: Fandango is a world-class ballroom dancer with a fiery temper. The dichotomy of the elegance of ballroom dancing is fiercely contrasted with his aggressive, assertive style in the ring. He has like "two faces" in that scenario. (Bad joke?) His character of Fandango is a cocky arrogant heel; anything else wouldn't work. If he was a face he would be another *shiver* ... Inferno...

I like it. Some don't. The entrance is a little too long for my liking but whatever, I'm usually on my cellphone anyway or getting ready for work.

I worry he's gonna be another Disco Inferno if he turns face.

Re: Fandango As A Face

I like him as smarmy, cocky heel. I think Curtis has done well with a gimmick that in lesser hands could have flopped. He plays the part tongue in cheek with a lot of gutso. I hope he can carry on doing well.

Re: Fandango As A Face

Can't think of one heelish thing he's done since his debut with Jericho.

Pretty much a face already I'd say, without being a 'baby'

I like to think of him as a tweener. Hopefully his character evolves to the point where he wont be DiscoInferno2.0.

Re: Fandango As A Face

I've actually noticed a good bit of the audience cheering instead of booing him. The casuals too. He's more of a decently over tweener and I feel like the audience wants a reason to cheer him. Deny them! Let him become a hardcore style, creepy, womanizing, dancer of death. He needs a harem of divas (Fandango's Angels) and he needs to gain a reputation as a hardcore/extreme specialist. That'll get him more over as a heel.

They gotta change his gimmick, good in ring talent, terrible gimmick.

Re: Fandango As A Face

To me, he's got that Mr. McMahon heat about him. Everybody cheers him at the beginning, he says and does things that make people boo him but the next night, people will cheer him again regardless.

He could teabag Cena's Leg-dropped carcass and call Summer Rae all manners of nasty words before dumping her for another diva, and all that heel heat will wash away for the next appearance.

Re: Fandango As A Face

I'd say he's a tweener now and it works nicely. He can be a twat (throwing Lilian on the floor) or he can be funny (still correcting the announcer on his name after he'd had the living shit kicked out of him). I think he's good as he is.
