I think The Shield, CM Punk and the Wyatt Family would have fit perfectly. What about you?

None because they weren't superstars back then, they were wrestlers.

CM Punk is the only guy who calls himself a wrestler.

The era was really all about Attitude, and today, attitude tends to be a rare thing. Punk would be the strong candidate, but I'd say Sheamus would have fit in well, if he was a heel of course, his heel run showed that he could have enough attitude to hold his own in the era.

But I suppose even as a face, could work, he reminds me a lot of Bradshaw in those days, maybe throw him in the APA or something? See how that would go.

I know, it's rough finding guys that fit, but with the right aggression and brawling ability, think some or most of the brawlers could get by in those days. Maybe no as main eventers mind you, but still.

CM Punk would of failed in the Attitude Era because he has no gimmick.
He basically would of been a Jim Cornette who actually wrestles.

= not over.

The Rock or 97' HBK would of ruined his career back then, plus Steve Austin would of squashed him.

I can't think of anyone if you're talking about main eventers.
I mean... Dolph Ziggler = Mr. Ass = midcarders.

A lot of them could of been in some Jabroni tag team though.

Guys like Val Venis were more main event worthy for the Attitude Era than main eventers of today would be.

Maybe Randy Orton, but I think the Rock would bury him too badly on the mic because of Orton's slow and boring promos.

Gonna say nobody.

Sure, you can put people in the Attitude Era. That's easy.

The question is:
Could they survive?

Could they survive the Rock on the mic back then? Austin being so over with the crowd? DX jokes?

Don't see it happening.

Everyone in the WWE today is a freaking jobber.

I think a lot of guys could do it, a lot of guys refrain from unleashing the "attitude" cause they have to. Even though I don't like him, I could see Cena fitting in fine. Punk, Orton, Shield - even a dude like Ziggler, hell most of the guys could do it no matter what anybody will tell you. The question isn't who would be a main event star. Also if they were in that era you gotta take booking into account, can't take their modern booking into consideration with the question really.

And before anyone that didn't watch wrestling back then DARES say Cena...

Wrestling crowds back then wouldn't of put up with Cena's promo antics OR ring-work for so much as a month.

rofl.

Cena would of been heckled right out of the business back then.
Don't answer the question if you don't know what the hell you're talking about.

Ziggler may as well have been Mr. Ass back than. He wasn't over. Just a tag team guy.

lol @ Cena.

With Cena's current character, he would get eaten alive back in the Attitude Era. If he had a different gimmick or maybe even his Thuganomics gimmick, then would probably fit in well.
