Champions Should Take Breaks and Be "Celebs"
in any other contact sport even a world champion of a lesser division usually gets the royal treatment like the World Heavyweight Champ would
remember when Triple H was world champ on raw 2002-2005 and how he wouldn't wrestle very often and just spent his airtime in nice suits while kicking back and partying whereas a Face champ who actually manages to dethrone him embodies the phrase "no rest for the weary"
I mean Benoit was in his gear every night, Goldberg had to defend the belt against Triple H more times in two months than I even care to count and Shawn Michaels was still living in his ranch garb
think back to boxing for a moment, when someone wins a major title it was an event for that individual, they took time off and enjoyed the Million dollar spoils before even fathoming another match
i feel the same should apply for when any wrestler wins a belt, i mean they just worked their whole lives to achieve something that would immortalise them, i think for anyone in life who reaches such milestones should get a moment to reflect and relax and worry about staying on top after getting a chance for the change and effect to settle right in
simply put, kayfabe or not, even the face champs should get all the time off in the world and be seen wearing suits and getting out of limos in front of lots of cameras(even if it is all planted). That's what they would do in any other profession
