One that's definitely deserving of top ten (hell, top five) is the time Johnny Nitro gets his face destroyed by a ladder that seesawed right into him. Got him back hooked on pills, too

There's also one where Brock Lesnar drops Bob Holly on his head because Holly decided to sandbag him for some reason, the dumbass. Broke his neck obviously, can't say he didn't have it coming.

Well, there's not much intelligent discussion to be had...

But I'll bite. The general assumption is that people would get injured more in something like rugby or MMA than 'that fake stuff', but it's actually the voluntary nature of wrestling that leads to all of these injuries.

Sorry to be that guy but I think that was Matthews, Any way brutal spot indeed.

Another one would be Hayabusa breaking his neck.

Also the Danbury where Vic Grimes decides he doesn't wanna do a spot, Jack pulls him down off a mini scaffold and crushes Jack's head, Lucky for Grimes New Jack didn't kill him at some XPW event.

So you mean Joey Mercury I'm guessing? But if it was him, was he the one hooked on pain pills or was Morrison or did you make it up entirely?

Still curious about the pain pills but I see someone beat me to it. Ignore me.

Obviously #1 should be Owen Hart's death.

I really wanted to put that on the list, but there were so many neck breaks...

Good call on Hayabusa, I totally forgot about that one. It was bound to happen, though. Also forgot to mention Buff Bagwell breaking his neck courtesy of a Rick Steiner bulldog.

When I read the title, Droz's neck injury was the first to come to mind. Personally, I was a fan of Droz and was saddened when I heard about his injury. Out of curiosity I always wanted to see the clip. I know him being carried off on a stretcher was used in the "Do Not Try This At Home" videos for sometime.

Overall, it's a pretty solid list.

This myth has been going around since the day it happened. He didn't sandbag him. I know Bob ain't the sharpest knife in the drawer, but he's not stupid enough to risk his own neck being broken. It was just an accident that could have happened to anyone. Luckily for him it wasn't career ending. The guy has went through some pretty horrendous stuff in his career. I remember a few years ago he ended up contracting MRSA while battling a staph infection and was dangerously close to death. Pretty sure there was talk that he may have had to get his arm amputated at one point. I have an incredible amount of respect for him for what he's been through and how he battled back without once complaining about it.
