Why do they do this

Why is it that when the WWE have a monster or someone being pushed as strong opposition they make a clown out of them.

When the Great Khali arrived I was thriled to see him due to the way he was pushed against The Undertaker and Batista now he is a comedy act. He is weak and un-threatening same with Kane.

Re: Why do they do this

Knocking Khali off his feet used to be an achievement, now fandango does it in a matter of 15 seconds

Re: Why do they do this

Kane
Ryback
Big E. Langston
Great Khali
Antonio Cesaro
Brodus Clay
Tensai

The list of big guys they've made a joke out of. I'm not sure why they do it but it's not amusing to see all of them acting silly every single week. I'd at least be able to tolerate a few of them in comedic roles maybe, but what happened to intimidating monsters?

A guy like Ryback is just acting like a baby all the time now, as well as getting his ass kicked. I know he's a villain, but he's a monster villain... not someone who can get away with whining, running away, and losing every PPV match he's in. In order to take a new monster on the roster seriously as a main eventer, he needs to do the opposite of those things. I'm not sure why anyone should care about the outcome of the Ryback/Cena match at Extreme Rules... and it's all connected to that one little issue.

Re: Why do they do this

because theres really not that much depth in monster heels such as khali, theres a certain period where he can just go around killing everyone in the ring, and you can't do that forever, and after thats done, theres not much left you can do other them making him dominate in the ring again but then that would just be very repetitive. You can't really change monster heels up that much.

Re: Why do they do this

Its sad what they done to Big Show and Kane, I mean Big Show loses to guys 2 times smaller then him, wtf, I should believe that and still take him seriously...
7 ft, near 500 pounds man should dominate and not be dominated...
Also same with Kane, I know they had to change something, you cant do same thing for 16 years but they didnt have to make him Kane that he is now...
He was unstoppable masked monster, then psycho, then he become a jobber and nobody takes him seriously anymore...
To beat him back in the day, you needed 2-3 guys and few finishers, now a days people smaller than him beat him with 1 finisher...
Khali was also great when he first came but now he loses to everybody...

stopped using this account, bye

Re: Why do they do this

Because once their dominant period is over the monster heel thing doesn't work as well

Re: Why do they do this

Because there's not much depth to the character like others have said. How long are they gonna go around and destroy everyone before it gets old? The point of monster heels is to have dominate for a while to put over the face who can finally take them down. An example of that is Umaga back in 2006 when he went undefeated and beat everyone on the roster and built up so Cena would beat him.

Re: Why do they do this

Because in fairy tales, the monster is no longer a threat after the hero of the story slays it.

You sit there and you thump your Bible, and you say your prayers, and it didn't get you anywhere.

Talk about your psalms, talk about John 3:16
Urkel 3:16 says I don't have to take this... I'm going home.

But Kane is suppossed to be feared not laughed at etc. What if they reversed this so it was The Undertaker? People would be pissed. They could at least put these biger wrestlers in a stable or bodyguards to heels? A heel GM's enforcers. I've said it before thr WWE needs a show for part timers and or bigger stars to dominate not be laughed at or with.
