The Undertaker's (kayfabe) personal life.
I am starting this thread hopefully to bring some clarity understanding his character. Hopefully, others will add tidbits of information given throughout his 20+ career in WWE. This is not asking about Mark Calloway. For instance, it's common knowledge he's married to Michelle McCool, but this has never been brought up on WWE TV, so that wouldn't count.
Obviously, in the character's 20+ plus years, there have been tons of creative writers, so I'm not exactly looking for continuity. I'm looking for sense to be made about his character from info given to us on WWE TV.
-Prior, to his debut I believe he worked matches as Kane The Undertaker, but it was recanted, never officially giving his character a first or last name.
-The name "Kane" was given to his younger brother. This brother was a half brother sharing the same mother. Paul Bearer was Kane's father. So a guess could be made that Kane's full name is Kane Bearer. Unless Kane's last name was his mothers maiden name.
-Undertaker eventually confessed to setting the fire that killed his parents. (Can someone clarify is this was intentional?)
-Can someone clarify his relationship with Paul Bearer. Bearer was brought is as his manager after Brother Love couldn't dedicate all his time & energy to being Undertaker's full-time manager. Apparently they've known each other long before WWE. They've been portrayed as long time friends, but I'm guessing not close enough for Bearer to ever bring up "BTW, your brother Kane is still alive" until the mid 90's.
-In Real Life, Bearer was only a decade older than Taker and Taker's only three years older than Kane. So, I'm guessing we were never meant to do the math on that.
-Has WWE ever said he was from Houston? He's billed from Death Valley. Geographically, Death Valley would be in California. He's been alluded to being Texan, but have they ever flat out said he's from Houston? People move all the time so it's no big deal, but I just want to know has WWE ever recognized Houston, TX as his hometown?
-The Undertaker is indeed the same character as his biker gimmick. They're not separate in anyway. Leading up to WMXX Kane said he's Undertaker had been humanized. Plus, the angle of them being brothers had never been dropped. So has any reason ever been given as to why he stopped portraying himself a certain way and then returned to it?
-He is an avid lover of motor cycles. An apparently, he doesn't carry a cell phone.
-Vince McMahon once referred to him as Mark on screen. I'm not sure if his last name was ever said on TV. He also has appeared in street clothes during his deadman gimmick. (This all occurred during the ministry angle.)
-Diamond Dallas Page once stalked his wife. So he's been married. Was "Sara" actually said on TV?
-A logical guess assumes that the original urn probably had his Mother's ashes in it. Although, he probably had numerous urns. I'm doubted the one Kama melted down was the one with his mothers ashes. Now, this is guesswork. Has the contents of the urn ever been revealed?
-HHH referred to Undertaker as a "brand", Undertaker has also been called "intimidating" and a master of mind games. Kayfabe, is the "Undertaker" all just a show, with the biker being who his out of WWE? (Again, I'm not asking about real like Mark Calloway)
-To my knowledge, his powers have never been acknowledged as pyro. Kane's fire has been booked as him doing it as well.
-Kane worships the devil, calling himself "The Devil's Favorite Demon". I know Undertaker has done satanic rituals during the ministry era, but that was later said to be all a stunt by him and McMahon to get to Austin. Has any of this ever been booked as Undertaker truly being satanic? For what it's worth, Kane is also a character with severe mental issues. Undertaker seems to have mental stability.
Now, this is a thread made for fun, focusing on the mythology of his kayfabe character. Please post clarification or other info given about the Undertaker through out WWE History.
