Re: The 150 Greatest Professional Wrestlers of All Time

Repped for the effort and idea. I don't agree with the list at all, but it's cool that you're passionate enough about wrestling to do a list like this.

I'm not a fan of The Rock at all but if you're being at least somewhat objective about this then he has to be much higher. Although factors come into it the key factor has to be drawing money considering that's the whole point of wrestling, and for that reason both Rock & Austin really should be higher. John Cena not being on the list at all is absolutely ridiculous as well. Going by your criteria he is in the top 10 for me.

Cena is there at number 44...

GOAT discussion thread, please come back

And for what it's worth, Hogan should be at the top of any lists like these, IMO.
There's no bigger name in Wrestling's history than Hulk Hogan.

Edit: Sorry didn't notice Cena there, still should be higher imo but fair enough

Of course money is important, but it's not "what wrestling is all about", as you said it. Especially from your side as a fan, where it plays absolutely no role whatsoever, unless you're getting a slice of that McMahon pie.

If you're trying to put together an honest, unbiased list you have to consider the money wrestlers have made in their career, if you don't then you're basically listing your favourite wrestlers.

If i was to do my own favourite wrestler list Rock wouldn't be in my top 50 and Hogan would probably be outside of my top 100, but i get the feeling the creator of this list is trying to put favourtism aside.

Even if you do consider the money they've made as one of the factors (it's not because quantity is not a measure of quality), you are still just making a list of your favourite wrestlers because every other factor is very subjective and is not not in any way quantifiable.
