Old but it's still as relevant as ever 6:00 mark to hear his comments

Of course he's right, it's good to be educated on the business side of things etc. - but most people forget that we are fans with opinions, nothing more. So if you can't just watch the damn show & enjoy SOME of it, shut up & watch something else. It's fun to have discussion & to joke around about Cena & HHH burying people, but if anybody really takes it that seriously, I feel bad for them.

Yeah, the way he looks at it, if you dare to have an opinion about a PRODUCT that depends on FANS, you're a smark and a big joke.
No, what he's saying is it's ok to discuss wrestling but people on here actually fool themselves into believing they could run the business, when the fact is no one here could do what Vince does as evidence of them posting on here and not being employed by the company.

His comment about "those who have never laced up" giving an opinion. I'm sorry, jackass, but being born disabled, as is my case, meant I could never "lace up". I've an opinion on whether or not we should do anything in space, moron, but I haven't put on the astronaut gear, so my opinion is a big joke I guess.
You're the kind of people he's talking about, you get mad at him because you felt like he insulted you & your opinions yet you're doing the exact same thing.

Point is, we spend money on this product and keep it afloat. Oh, you say Raw is free? No, it isn't. We have to endure the commercials that pay for Raw as well. That's the nature of TV.
Do you go to the shows? Do you order the ppvs or buy the merchandise? If not then you have no right to complain, and as for enduring the commercials just change the damn channel.

If wrestlers want us "smarks" to stop forming opinions, then I guess it's up to the village idiot who still believes it's all real to be it's entire viewing base. A crowd full of "Eugenes". A crowd full of little kids. Guess what, if these little kids had a choice between no more crappy cartoons or wrestling, they'd drop viewing wrestling. Yes, Wrestling would be destroyed by Barney, the fucking dinosaur. How's that for your egos?
So the fans that just want to be entertained are idiots and little kids? Real mature there guy, don't get all upset because there are fans who just watch the show and don't feel the need to critique every little thing.

Another point is smarks have kept the Undertaker persona alive. We tend to judge on hard work, performance, kayfabe, and all factors. In short, smarks are the diehard fans that keeps wrestling alive. If not, Undertaker would have retired long ago due to fans disinterest.
Smarks have been criticizing him since 00s and for no good reason, luckily for Taker he has massive fan support which is what keeps every wrestler afloat. Truth is if smarks had their way Rock, Austin, Hogan & Taker would've been in the mid-card while Daniel Bryan, Punk, Ambrose & Rollins would main event Wrestlemania after Wrestlemania.

Let's look at the Undertaker from a non smarks opinion. You show up for one match, maybe 2 a year. A casual watcher would be wondering who in the hell you are and why should they care. "Who is this discrepit old man pretending to be a dead man come to life?". "Why is a wrestler who wrestles almost every single night losing to this?"
Casuals look at Taker with respect and love seeing him show up for nostalgia.

Want "smarks" to shut up? Then get used to no reactions at your so called heroes or even the heels. You could run the whole show with comedy relief and it would have the same reaction. I guess WWE would run the piped in cheers and boos full time.
Smarks can also ruin moments in wrestling so don't make it seem like they're the life blood of the business.

Totally agree. I actually really like the way he handled this too. He's not hating on smarks. He's just calling out the ones that think they know every little thing about the business, and then he's not saying anything bad about them, simply saying they shouldn't forget that they are fans. It's a very true statement that holds up 10 years later.

Its true. Alot of the people on this forum who reckon they know how WWE should be run would run the company into a ground in a week if they ever got control over the company.

Paul Heyman and Vince Russo were smarks too btw and we both know how they helped turn the business around. So were a lot of wrestlers as well. I see where Taker is coming from, but honestly the guys just say it to try to discredit negativity towards the product.

Vince Mcmahon once said these fans are the lifeblood of the product because they live and breathe professional wrestling, but that was 1996 when wcw was kicking his ass and he needed all the fans the company could get lol.

Now they could care less about those fans and it shows with the PG Cena direction, so I wouldn't be so quick to praise these kind of comments which creates the lack of actual wrestling for fans of the actual sport. He did make sense about wrestlers lacking psychology today and needing to do high risk spots to pop a crowd instead of telling a story another way.

However, does that apply to his boss' son in law HHH who seems to need to use this type of style to sell his big matches like the one he had at wm 28?

Thing is, in 2003 the guy probably had a point. There wasn't a great deal wrong with the product then at all, I wasn't on the forums then but I'd bet people were just nitpicking.

Today, the average internet fan could write more entertaining storylines than the current creative team. Shit, the average CASUAL fan probably could.

Who cares? He is an old overrated guy who needed to retire 10 years ago and is holding young superstars like
David Otunga from getting a push.
He will never job.

I read somewhere. that Yoshi Tatsu was suppose to end the streak at wm28 but undertaker wouldn't do the job which led to that HHH vs Taker rematch aka the buried alive match

Fuck the undertaker he is ruining the business and making it lose money.

Ive got nothing more, man alive

Firstly he is right, we are just fans. Secondly back then I didnt use forums lol, I didnt really understand the concept of a superstar being pushed and I just rolled with it. Also thirdly, how can I hate a man whos much older now? he was younger back here.
