It it safe to say the brand split has officially ended?????

O'n March 26'th 2001 the Sports Entertainment world as we'd know it would be changed forever. It was on this day that W.C.W. would be sold to W.W.F.. The Monday Night Wars was over!!! W.W.E. had been victorious, up until July 9, 2001. This was the night the shook, ratteled and rooled the wrestling buisness even further, it was here the Alliance was born, and the Invasion was born. The invasion lasted from this day in July until November 18, 2001, when yet again W.W.F. was victorious. As Per the stipulation the winning team which consisted of Team WWF (The Rock, Chris Jericho, The Undertaker, Kane, and The Big Show) defeating Team Alliance (Stone Cold Steve Austin, Rob Van Dam, Kurt Angle, Booker T, and Shane McMahon).

Now this meant Vince was again was storyline sole owner, or so he thought minutes before he was going to award Kurt Angle with the W.W.F. Ric Flair returned. He stated Shane and Steph sold their shares to him in exchange for the money to buy W.C.W. and E.C.W., so now they were co-owners. This lasted from November 19'th until June 10'th 2002.

However while they were both co-owners they didn't get along much, and the board of director's would do something unheared of.
1 word that would change wrestling for the past 11 years. SPLIT. Yes there would be two seperate brands 1 for RAW, which Ric Flair would be the owner of, and 1 for Smackdown, which Vince McMahon would be the owner of.

Now in the past Eleven years we've seen such things as RAW/Smackdown magazine ( Well we had RAW for so long, but now it was brand only), we've seen the birth of seperate but equal titles ( W.W.E./World, U.S. /I.C., Womens/Divas, W.W.E./World Tag Titles.

In 2003 we saw the debut of Brand only Pay Per Views, however this went away after only 4 short years. We've also in 2009 seen the debut of gimmick brand Pay Per Views. Events having the title of them to do with the theme of the event. ( I.E. Elimintion Chamber, Hell in a Cell.

Now my question to all of you, is it good enough to say it's all unofficially done, IS THE BRAND SPLIT FINISHED??? What have you liked about it, what have you disliked about it, what would you have kepy, changed???

As long as WWE still refers to them as "RAW" superstars and "Smackdown" superstars, it has not ended.
Its close seems to be drawing nearer however.

I only liked the brand split from 2002-2005ish. After that it just got stale. WWE stopped booking properly for both brands.

It worked good during the 2002-2005 time because WWE had a massive roster. The brand specific PPV's were good as well.

Also, I believe for the brand split to be officially over, WWE must unify the world titles. Perhaps Wrestlemania XXX?

Not officially but it has ended. Hell, I can't even keep track of who's a Smackdown and who's a RAW superstar anymore. I think they only truly split when they go on tour.

They don't really have brand split, but what I don't like is how some guys still get SD screen graphics on Raw and some guys get Raw screen graphics on SD. It just looks out of place now. Before it was alright cause they were SD or Raw superstar appearing on the other show, but now it just looks useless.

And the only way brand split would be official, is if Raw-SD has continuation and main guys are on each show. Cena,Punk and so on should be on SD also ,not just Raw!

guys the brand split has been over for about a year now. everyone shows up on both shows minus Cena/Punk and part-timers not showing up on SD.

In July 2011 (I believe the week following MITB '11), Triple H announced on both Raw and SD that wrestlers could appear on both shows. On top of that, the World Title has clearly been below the WWE Title since that time period (and maybe before). The WWE Title has been held by Cena, Del Rio, Punk, and The Rock, while the World Title has been held by Christian, Orton, Henry, Bryan, Big Show, Sheamus, and Del Rio. So I'd say the WWE Title is really the title of both shows now, especially since the World Champion is on Raw like any other main eventer. The only caveat is that Cena and Punk don't appear on SD, and now Del Rio as well it seems, so there is a difference between the two shows in that regard.

The brand split has been over for almost a couple of years now. The house show name change was a formality, and now even that little detail is gone.

Yeah now that the house shows read W.W.E. live, might as well make a Unafactition at a P.P.V. possibly Wrestlemania 30, if not Summerslam 2013
