Re: Which Wrestlers Can You Not Take Seriously?
Obvious answer but Cena. Just little touches that he lacks. People have already talked about his mic work, no need to repeat what others have said. His in-ring work is the same, just little things that stop him feeling authentic. For example, when he kicks out of pinning positions. More talented wrestlers can do so much with that three seconds, they can make the gap between 2 and 3 seem huge, sometimes kicking out on two, sometimes two-and-half, sometimes the very instant before three, you know? With Cena, it's just so rhythmic, the same every time. One-two-kick out, one-two-kick out, etc, never any variation. Like I say, little things that prevent you from suspending your disbelief in a match. Cena goes about his business in the ring in the same manner that I used to go about stacking shelves, just going through the motions. I guess you could say the same about plenty of others, just seems so much more obvious with him.
