What is the Undertaker missing to be the Greatest?

I think he was totally over in the early 90s?
Comparable to Hogan.(i may be wrong about that)

His longevity is nearly unmatched.

But something seems to be missing to be on the same level as Hogan,Austin, Rock.

What is it in your opinion? Do you think he is close of being the Greatest.

Did his popularity dip at one point?

Re: What is the Undertaker missing to be the Greatest?

Imo it seems he has one thing none of the others have wich in my case makes him GOAT. He has never had the need for titles and constantly hold himself in the ultimate spotlight. The others have...

And to joshL , charisma my ass...

Re: What is the Undertaker missing to be the Greatest?

I think he'd make most people's top 5 or 10 list, but his gimmick limits his appeal.

Plenty of people would argue that he IS the greatest.

Re: What is the Undertaker missing to be the Greatest?

On paper, I'd argue that he is. When you consider his longevity, popularity, athleticism for his size, the streak and his ability to adapt by completely owning two contrasting gimmicks (the deadmean and bad ass biker), surely there's nobody better?

I think what puts him behind Rock and Austin is that they've related to the crowd for virtually their entire career. They're charismatic, shit stirring guys who stick their fingers up to the rules. The fans can relate to that more than someone who plays a unique gimmick role like 'the deadman'.
