Happiest:The whole attitude era except the whole Mae Young giving birth to a hand
Saddest:Eddie's death
Angriest:Triple H's insanely long title runs in 03 knowing the fact that he sleeps with the bosses daughter and the entire PG era
Happiest: the one I can think of right now: TNA going on the road and doing it successfully!
Saddest: John Morrison leaving WWE
Angriest: Watching wrestling fans defend Chris Benoits double murder
1) The original DX days of late 1997/early 1998. HBK was in his prime both character wise and worker wise and was absolutely on fire and ridiculously entertaining every week.
2) Monday Night Wars/Attitude era: Just from the standpoint that the product was so fresh, so with the times, and so entertaining week in and week out. It wasn't a chore at all to watch Raw every week. Raw actually went by fast in those days leaving you want more every week. Having two shows to flip back and forth to every Monday night was a great option to have and something I think I and all wrestling fans took for granted back then compared to the state of the business today where you only have one option on Monday nights and it's a 3 hour chore to sit through.
3) HBK coming back in 2002 and having an epic match with Triple H at SummerSlam 2002. Enough said.
Saddest:
Deaths of various wrestlers. And looking back on it today, the death of WCW.
Angriest:
I don't think I've ever really been "angry" about wrestling. More like disappointed or just bored, and that's todays product, unfortunately. But at least it provides some laughs, if nothing else.
Happy: Rock beating Cena at Wrestlemania 28
Sad: Eddies Death
Angry: Tough one, most recently it would be the fact that Jericho is being wasted with Fandango.
Happiest: Too many to name. Most recently, Bully Ray wins world title.
Saddest: Benoit tragedy. Wasn't a wrestling fan when Eddie died, that one would be up there too.
Angriest: Sean Morley/Val Venis defeats Christopher Daniels at Genesis 2010, by far. That was the nail in the coffin for me for pro wrestling. I had stopped watching wrestling because WWE sucked, and after that I was done altogether. I knew what was going on; Hogan and Bischoff were signing every WWE scrub that was past their prime, and lettin them go over the guys that helped build TNA, and the better guys too. I was already incredibly pissed at the Hogan signing, but that one did it for me.
Happiest:
Raw after WM28(seeing/hearing that great crowds like that could still exist, everyone getting cheered or booed like crazy, and of course, the yes chants!Sure it was the loudest 20,000 fans of the 70,000 who were at WM that seemed to attend the event, but still..)
Saddest:
Eddie/Benoits deaths
Angriest:
People Power Era(everything about that time period was terrible. Cena coming out ontop of Lesnar, Laurinaitis running the show, nothing exciting really happening at all during that time)
I still never got why Laurinaitis is around. Everytime he's on TV it seems like he gets bashed alot(not just in character bashed, but seems like guys mention things behind the scenes when bashing him) for various reasons, yet WWE seems to have no problem keeping him around. I know people will say Vince McMahon is reason why he's still there, but if he is...why is he allowing all those bashing stuff to happen on tv.
Happiest: Austin winning first world title against Michaels.
Saddest: Raw is Owen (remember watching it the day before going on holiday, ruined the whole thing), Eddie's passing was strange for me cause I wasn't watching it at the time and just tuned back in for the tribute show, same for Benoit.
Angriest: It doesn't make me angry anymore but the Wrestlemania X7 ending, looking back now I realise it was one of the greatest events and one of the biggest matches (Austin vs Rock) but I didn't enjoy it at the time, I was young and really wanted Austin to win but him turning heel to do it made me angry for months.
Happiest: Christian/Eddie/Benoit world title wins, right after Hbk/Taker at wrestlemania 25
Saddest: Eddie's death
Angriest: Reading the smackdown spoilers the night Orton beat christian for the world title, Cena winning the 2008 royal rumble
I thought it was a brilliant way to make Christian interesting again. They didn't capitalize on the opportunity though. He is one of my absolute favorites but he's a bland personality.
Happiest: Punk winning at MITB '11, Rocky's return, Lesnar's return.
Saddest: Most of the deaths, Bearer's one being a recent example.
Angriest: Nash and Trips ruining the 'Summer of Punk' storyline and Cena beating Lesnar.
happiest: punk winning MITB 2011
saddest: HBK/edge retiring
angriest: cena beating lesnar
