Am I the only one who finds this chant funny? I mean coming from fans that couldn't lace up a pair of boots even if they tried.

Critics exist I know that but damn some people in my opinion just want attention.

It's a stupid chant and the people who chant it should be banned from entering any wrestling arenas.

This gets me the most. ECW fans who go crazy for The fucking Sandman who's "wrestling" consists of a Singapore Cane then turn around and say that Randy Orton and John Cena can't wrestle.

It's more based on the fact that they've moved up to the very pinnacle of professional wrestling and don't have the ability to display the awe inspiring skills you'd expect as a smarky fan.

It's a crowd for a reason, they buy tickets, they expect to see wrestling so they voice their opinions when the main stars are horseshit ;)

These chants exist since 8 years, you're on this forum for 3 years and you make this thread just in that moment when the whole IWC worships Cena because the Rock is the new enemy #1?
Quick! Jump on the bandwagon! There is still place!

btw I don't need to be a professional singer or having a record deal to know that Nicki Minaj sucks

I never mentioned Rock or Cena so don't assume, my friend. I made this thread after hearing the chant towards Fandango when he hasn't even wrestled on live TV that is.

I love it. Smarks gotta chant something the casuals can come in with. I'm pretty sure I could out wrestler the Undertaker at this point too. I mean he's stiffer than a dead guy with rigamortis and the autopsy says he died of a viagra overdose.

Your sig is disrespectful to all intelligent woman that want to make something out of themselves besides their good looks. If you pay to see a wrestling event, and some one is awful, you have a right to express your opinion. If a whole crowd is saying it, there might be some justification for it. Think before you speak, you ignoramus.

You're Welcome

So, you're against chants that voice their displeasure against wrestlers, and their ring ability...

But you're happy to see a human being getting a concussion?

Negged for stupidity.

I agree with this. The chants are usually directed at people who they think are boring. If The Sandman was trying to actually wrestle a match instead of just going in there and brawling then they'd probably be booing him out of the building as well.

I love that Fandango is getting the chant right now. It is the exact reaction to a heel that keeps putting off his debut.

But at other points? It can get really fucking stupid. Like the ECW fans. They chant "You Can't Wrestle" at Randy Orton and cheer the fuck out of Sandman. Fucking really?

Good Point :) So nice to see a educated and non bashing response we need more people who can answer a question without being an asshole.

So just because I don't know how to produce a blockbuster movie, I can't recognize that Transformers 3 is a steaming pile of shit? :punk2

Well, no. That's not the same. A wrestler trains for years before he gets to a certain point, and in terms of Fandango in the last week wasn't even wrestling and still got the chant. Seeing a movie and saying it's shit isn't the same as seeing a wrestler in the ring for 2 minutes and saying he can't wrestle.

We need to start an "I cant wrestle" chant when a really good match is going on.
Funniest post I've read on here!

I completely hate the "You Can't Wrestle" chants because it's a go-to chant for people who don't have anything else. Obviously Johnny Curtis can wrestle, but if he's doing his gimmick and isn't wrestling, how can a You Can't Wrestle chant be right?

It's like those who chant boring at diva matches as soon as they start and then come online and say "Divas are shit."

It's like those who chanted "Albert" at Tensai on his debut, and then come online and say WWE never tries to evolve or do anything new.

It's like those who chanted "Goldberg" at Ryback even now after the only similarites are being a bald powerhouse, and then come online and say WWE are stuck in the past.

Saying you can't wrestle to a wrestler you see once a week pushing his gimmick is like saying Daniel Day Lewis can't act because Nine was terrible.

This last Raw, I'm convinced I heard the same person who must have been near a mic chanting Albert, Goldberg, Boring, you Can't Wrestle and other things. Yes, he's paid for his ticket and can chant what he likes, but why would he? It's not like WWE is different week by week enough for you to expect things to be different. You know what you're getting when you pay, and it's just being an arsehole and disruptive by a disruptive arsehole who will think he's funny and cool.

Chanting You Can't Wrestle is offensive to wrestlers who are trying their best, not the likes of Khali or Nicole Bass who were just there for being genetically astonishing or a Celebrity guest who doesn't get it/isn't trying, an actual wrestler who works hard and may not be the best in the world doesn't deserve a chant telling him he's bad.

Yes it's offensive and what the most ridiculous thing is, more than paying to not enjoy it, is that it's fucking wrestling fans telling a wrestler who is working hard he can't wrestle. That's ludicrous in my eyes.

yet their are plenty of wrestlers who have gone through the same crap as they have and don't garner those chants

if you are that protective of your earning, maybe its time to hang it up and get a job at mcdonalds
"This is wrestling" is still the worst chant ever.
how why?

This chant sucks, chanting it at Fandango who has literally not wrestled for RAW audiences yet was the definite lowpoint.

But I reject chants in all their forms, having grown up amongst "diehard" football fans. Something about grown men purposefully lowering their voices 3 octaves and bellowing playground bullshit (often to the tunes of nursery rhymes and children's songs, so apt) strikes me as bizarre. Chanting as a method of sports appreciation is dead to me. I share a similar hatred for "clap clap clapclapclap" bullshit

I hate that chant, sure some people might be better than others and you have the right not to like some and like others but having thousands of people chant you can't wrestle at you while it is what you do for a living is very insulting and hurtful, I don't like it.

The "you can't wrestle" chants can be fun and accurate at times when it's directed towards someone like Khali. Attended the Royal Rumble '08 PPV and even I participated in the chant. Couldn't help myself.

But most of the time, it can be really, really, really stupid. I remember watching One Night Stand '06 and being completely baffled by the hardcore ECW marks chanting "you can't wrestle" towards Orton and Cena, yet jizzing all over Sandman whose so-called "wrestling skills" consist of just singapore cane shots.

I don't mind the chant. It just doesn't make sense to use it for fandango. I mean, I get it since he hasn't wrestled, but that's not what the chant has been used for. It's to show their dislike towards a certain performer. The ecw fans find cena, orton, and a few other guys to be boring. But they chanted other shit at them too. When Orton was wrestling Angle, they were chanting "break his ankle" and other stuff which I liked.

Fandango deserves a "you suck" chant or something. The casuals must have heard the "you can't wrestle" chant on a dvd or youtube and think they're using it properly.
