Why did WWE decide to go PG?

Personally I would put it down to the election campaign and sponsors. What is your opinion on why the WWE decided to go PG?

Re: Why did WWE decide to go PG?

Believe it or not, John Cena was the main guy that was pushing for the PG rating. Just another reason to hate that piece of shit.

Re: Why did WWE decide to go PG?

WWE's adult-oriented content wouldn't have been allowed in many countries

Re: Why did WWE decide to go PG?

Their Adult audience from the attitude was getting older and many of them were moving on.

It was time for a new "era" I guess, so they went back to something more like the 80's style of squeaky clean babyfaces and dastardly heels.

Re: Why did WWE decide to go PG?

They lost an entire generation of kids that weren't allowed to watch from probably 96-2004

Eventually they will have the kid friendly programming like Saturday morning slam( which should be an hour) an then have more adult oriented storylines on raw when kids shouldn't be wafchIng anyway.
