Why do people feel sorry for Scott Hall?

Just listening to a few interviews and reading a few articles and when Scott Hall is talked about he is always made out to be a massive prick.

Most alarmingly Kevin Nash in a shoot interview I am watching talks about Scott Hall as one of the biggest pricks he ever met but laughs it off as one big joke. There are numerous examples Nash gives where Scott Hall acts like a complete dick, one where he was jealous of Lex Luger and his success and tried to undermine him in front of the boys by making him look like a dumbass. Other examples where he took advantage of new boy Mantaur by slapping him around in the ring. Obviously Hall at this time was part of the Clique so Mantaur was scared to do anything back in case he lost his job.

There are also stories of how he used to belittle legends and pro's like Bam Bam Bigelow.

He sounded like an extremely unprofessional person who was also a massive bully. So why the sympathy and the sadness for scott hall now he is in this desperate state? Why do the fans and to some extent the wrestlers in the business today act all sad and want to help him?

Don't come at me with "he is a human being" bullshit because a prick is always going to be a prick and I believe in what comes around goes around and he bought it on himself.

I am just mystified when people act like he was this guy who had drinking and drug demons and now we should pray he gets better and ignore what person he actually was.

Cena is still the #1 guy in the business

Re: Why do people feel sorry for Scott Hall?

mainly because no-one on this forum knows scott hall personally so whether or not he is a prick a douche or the nicest guy the world has ever seen he is simply a person who entertained the majority of us during our childhood/adolesence so people will always feel a connection to people we grew up watching.

Wrestlemania 30 was awesome

I like his character and his in work work, but I have never felt bad for him. Every attempt to change he had he threw it back in peoples faces and flushed his career down the toilet. His bullying, politicking and general asshole-ish nature makes him hard to like outside of the ring.

I do feel sympathy for Jake the Snake? Why you ask? They are in the same situation you say? No, Roberts never pulled have the crap that Hall did. Much easier to sympathize with a man who was raised in hell and is generally well liked rather than a man who spit in everyones faces.

I agree, I have not heard people talk bad about Jake the snake as a person. Yes he did the drugs but he kept it to himself and it was his downfall but his character and the person he was makes you feel sympathy for him and makes you want to help him.

Yet people like scott hall get all the re-hab treatments time and time again. Has Jake been offered re-hab by wwe? I am sure people like shawn michaels, triple h have the political power to get wwe to keep putting the time into scott hall's rehabilitation whilst someone like jake the snake is not a massive priority and is somewhat forgotten.

Re: Why do people feel sorry for Scott Hall?

Because we Human Beings have are flaws and none of us are perfect. Yes a lot of us are fortunate to make better choices in our life but we all fuck up at one point our lives and some people are just not strong enough to overcome their demons. I don't see why everyone likes to look down on people and sit on their high horse just becasue they have been blessed to have a better life than someone else. This may sound corny as shit but there needs to be more love in this world. With all these school shootings and shit going on this world is going to hell.

When it comes to Scott Hall I see his life as just TRAGIC. The guy was great in the ring and had one of the best original characters in WWE history plus he was apart of one of the greatest stables in wrestling history with the NWO. It's sad his life turned out this way. I am still hopeful he can turn it around and we can see him go into the WWE Hall Of Fame one day.

Re: Why do people feel sorry for Scott Hall?

People are not very conscious about who/what they support which is unfortunate. They'll shit on a good guy and praise a shitty guy. Nothing wrong with that. Do what u do. I'm just saying. I don't think most wrestling fans would care if they were supporting the Devil. As long as they find the Devil entertaining. That's just the way it is. Look at some of the people outside of wrestling that are celebrated....
