Bruno wasn't a fan of that era of wrestling either. He didn't like anything Vince touched.
Bruno loved the wrestling business and didn't agree with the direction the Mchman's were taking it. He didn't like the fact that all the territories were disappearing. He didn't like the the focus on entertainment. He didn't like how easy it was for all the boys to do drugs in the lockers room. He didn't like the steroid use. He didn't like the shifty pay days and how talent was treated. Bruno was not a fan of the WWF long before the attitude era. He didn't like working for Vince at all due to his past dealings with Vince Sr.
I can definitely see how someone who worked as hard as Bruno could dislike the direction wrestling took in the 90's. I can understand. I just feel like if you truly loved wrestling you would love to see it reach the level of popularity that it did during that time, regardless of content.
I think a large part of it has to do with Bruno being an overly proud Italian. He doesn't want to give credit to anytime he wasn't drawing.
