When did I say they were good? I said these didn't make him. They made him the most money but the kids movie do not define him as an actor and why he is bigger than Austin in films. Thats BS. If I absolutely had to choose a kids film that wasnt too bad, I;d say Game Plan.

People act like Kids films are all the guy is good for or why he has success and thats silly talk. Hes already shown that he can tackle more than just kids flicks. Im not saying hes the greatest thing ever but hes more than just a guy from kids flicks.

Didn't work for Piper...

WWE and Hollywood are two completely different things. Success in WWE does not equal automatic success in Hollywood.

1. Rock has more acting range.
2. Rock looks more like a movie star.
3. Rock is more likable.

Explain Hogan and Piper's failures then. Although Piper wasn't really a failure.

Um.. because he can act?.. wasnt that obvious? The guy can be a comedian, larger than life action star and even do serious roles.

THE REBEL

Austin is a wrestling guy.
The Rock is an entertainer.

Simple as that

How did they not make him? His kids movies are what made him a star because most of his action movies didnt do squat that he starred in. His kids movies are what makes over 100m except for something like the fast and furious which was already a big franchise before her joined and even in that he is just a supporting actor, just like he was in GI Joe. But you take an action movie where he stars in like Drive, and it didnt make a lot.

The rock makes all his money staring in kids movies, or being a supporting star in action movies.

The point is, Austin could never star in a kids movie like the rock in make millions. The rock can make a kids movie and also be in action movies and make some money as well. All Austin can do is star in crap action movies that go straight to DVD.

No one is saying all the rock can do is kids movies. What I am saying is kids movies are why the rock can make money and Austin cant. You can claim what you want but kids movies are what made the rock a huge hollywood star and where he made all his money in starring roles.

Re: Why did Rock make it as a movie star, but Austin didn't?

The Rock wanted to be a hollywood star.
Austin didn't.

The reason why we don't get fresh ideas and promotions rising in American Pro Wrestling is because the majority of the community is happy with the same old shit and will reject any chance of change. There is a risk in doing new things, 9 times out of 10, it leads to 50+ pages of bitching and moaning. While business gets turned into a dictatorship and more and more out of touch. Support the indies, support New Pro Wrestling.
