So the OP has an opinion, that's his choice. What pisses me off is how he expressed it, and how others in this thread are quite ready to point out why their opinion is clearly right and everyone else is a moron for disagreeing.

I also find it hard to believe that so many of you would say Lance Storm is a terrible in ring worker, and then would go on to praise John Cena who gave us such gems as:

All because Cena is more popular and a, quote unquote, better entertainer. Makes it quite evident you have zero clue what you're talking about. There's a fine distinction between good entertainer and good in ring worker, as Headliner said. Why you people feel the need to comment when you have no clue is beyond me.

Using John Cena and SummerSlam 2005 as arguments to defend Lance Storm is like using Superman 64 as argument why Atari is better than Nintendo 64

Re: Lance Storm

Well, I really enjoyed Lance Storm. I also enjoyed The Impact Players

Wrestling is made up of many things and Lance and his ilk have their part.

Will mark for Father Ted references.

But Brock Lesnar has just about as much "personality" as Lance Storm does...

Brock's appeal has always been the way he's presented and the quality of his matches in the WWE.

According to my sources Lance was as big and pumped a Lesnar when he arrived in WWE but at the time Vince was more interested in the smaller wrestlers. Some of the cats in the locker room said "the thunder-Storm" was a fun guy and a real ribber. I mean he took it to far with, the now infamous, wood lice in Jeff Jarrett's guitar prank but hey, let a kidder kid!!

Brock Lesnar is not the Rock but he can sell a feud and a story in his own way
Remember the segment with the Mariachi Band, his crazy segment with Zach Gowen and the stairs or the segment with him and Heyman in 2003 with the whole SmackDown roster when he talke how he's not afraid of anyone?
Lance Storm never showed emotions like the other "colder" guys like Lesnar, Benoit or Shamrock.

I won't dispute that part about Brock, but if anything... it only proves that you don't need to be the most charismatic guy in the world to produce something entertaining. Why was Brock involved in those couple of great segments? it's because that's what they gave him to work with. He had one of the best TV characters the WWE has ever had in Paul Heyman beside him, got opportunities instantly (literally) against guys like The Rock and Undertaker, and was booked to perfection. Lance Storm was told to repeat "If I can be serious for one moment" and just persistently bash Americans. I'd say he did a solid job accomplishing it, but to each their own.

I think Brock is above Storm myself, but if Brock was relegated to a humiliating role where he'd lose tons of matches in the midcard then I might question whether you'd be praising him right now or not, because he undoubtedly doesn't have much personality at all.

Storm wasn't "cold" like those guys. They had dangerous personas. Storm didn't. Serious does not equal dangerous.

Are you seriously this thick headed?

DualShock, when this guy thinks you're one of the best posters on the site then you're doing something wrong.
