Goldberg = Most overrated superstar of all time.
From 1997-2001, Goldberg pretty much destroyed all of his opposition in the WCW. He was signed to the WCW in 1997, and made his debut on WCW TV Programming in 1998. Immediately in 1998 Goldberg was pushed to main event status and accumulated 173 consecutive victories along with multiple title reigns. His title reigns weren't too lengthy, but 173 victories in a row? I understand that Goldberg was one of the most popular wrestlers in wcw, but IMO. Sting and Hogan were more popular , So 173 wins in a row is utterly ridiculous. Vince Russo destroyed WCW with many stupid storylines, because Goldberg was good as a face but he didn't deserve half of those victories. He was signed in 1997, and within two years he receives probably the the biggest push in the history of wrestling.
How many great matches has he had? Not too many. Over half of his matches didn't even last 5 fucking minutes. Now don't get me wrong, Goldberg had great intensity, but what about his mic skills? Nothing special at all. Id say mediocore at best.
I seriously can't think of anyone else more overrated than Bill Goldberg
Top 10 all time favorites:
