Why people love Shelton Benjamin that much?
Again, sorry for my bad English.
I mean, I know the guy is a good athlete-although his recent work in ROH has being mediocre according to many souces. But I admit Shelton was a good spotmonkey in the ladder matches and had very good agility.
But the dude spent 10 years in WWE and showed 0 charisma, 0 personality, 0 character, 0 mic. The guy was just that, an athlete. Nothing more and nothing less. In fact when I started watching WWE back in the day the thing I liked the most was the fact that every wrestler had something that maked them unique and noticeable. And since day 1 I disliked Shelton Benjamin because he was the guy with less personality, character or uniqueness I ever saw. Having white hair and golden trunks was his entire ¿gimmick? And despite his athleticism I found impossible to be interested by him as a face or as a heel.
So now it amazes to me seeing many people claiming that Shelton should have been a main eventer. Do you think Shelton Benjamin can show enough character and charisma to sell us a main eventer storyline? Because for me the answer is simple: No. He wasn't capable to sell me a midcarder random feud.
