If Diamond Dallas Page actually sobers both of these guys up and helps fix their broken down lives then the WWE need to award Diamond Dallas Page.
'The Vincent Kennedy McMahon Award of outstanding achievement in the field of excellence".
Everyone, including Vince McMahon will have to do DDP Yoga and Vince should promote the shit out of it on TV every week.
I know Jake and Scott don't have much to do with the WWE nowadays, but the WWE have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on trying to rehabilitate Scott and Jake. It's a positive step away from wrestlers killing their bodies with a dangerous mix of alcohol and drugs. DDP is single handedly changing the attitude of pro wrestling and he's cleaning it up.
What Jake has to realize is that beating alcoholism isn't a process that is completed in a couple of months. It takes YEARS to fully defeat it. He can't get discouraged. It's not like he got drunk, and went on a complete reckless rampage and then tried to hide it. He has a couple shots, and then plainly admitted it to Dallas himself.
That's a MAJOR step in my opinion. There's a video from around when he first gets with Dally, and Jake gets wasted out of his mind and fights with Dally trying to tell him he wasn't drinking.
Jake just needs to accept the fact that it's not going to be that easy to kick the habit. Take it one day at a time, and he can get there. It's a lot harder to think about achieving your goals when you're thinking about it all at once, as one lump sum. In reality, you just need to get through the next day. Worry about the next day after that. Step by step.

Spot on. If you've never suffered from addiction (especially alcohol) it's hard to relate...all your 'friends' are constantly on your ass, "come out tonight... just have a few man..for old times.." constantly trying to fuck you up so they have someone to drag down back to their level. Alcoholics can have no alcohol anymore. An order that tall needs to be taken a day, hour, or even minute at a time.
Luckily DDP is a true friend to these guys. Jake can get back on track, because I believe him and Scott when they say they want to stay sober. It's a rough road for an addict sometimes though but it's doable. I'd say he needs more support than just DDP. It's helpful to have people you can relate to, so ex-wrestlers or other similar celebrity-level sober people would be best to have around.
Stay away from all the party animals. They'll just drag them back down. That's probably hard when you've been friends with some guys for many, many years but if they aren't supportive, they aren't really friends.
Here is a video they uploaded today, started with DDP stating that X Pac texted him that Hall pretty much stated he wanted to blow his brains out and they tried to talk to him in a drunk state to come over.
Btw, this thread could be moved to the WWE section.

I don't know, it's odd. Rehab obviously isn't working for these guys. Maybe the DDP thing is showing some signs of success because they can relate to DDP. He's not just a random stranger getting paid to help them like they're just a statistic. This is a guy that knows them, has done the same stuff they've done. The road, the travel, the crowds, etc. It's a lot more personable & relateable to these guys maybe? Just a thought.

I love that DDP is helping Jake and Scott and considering the condition they used to be in, I shudder to think about where they might be now without his help. That being said, does anyone else feel slightly uncomfortable or uneasy watching all the videos DDP puts out with these guys?

I think it's exploitative, in the same way Celebrity Rehab was. Anonymity to expose your issues and deal with the causes of your drinking and be accountable, but not have everyone hold it over your head, is why AA works.

Eat your heart out, WWE "wellness program." Seems like it's working wonderfully for Sunny, too. Must be one hell of a program. Is there anything this company can do right, these days? We all know just what WWE "creative" is capable of.

wwe spent thousands on Scott Halls trips to rehab you cant blame them for him always going back to the drink they cant watch him 24/7 for the rest of is life he needs to start helping himself.
You can't really blame WWE, they pay for these guys to go rehab but what happens there is out of their control. It's not like VInce himself is the one running the rehab centre lol

That I 100% agree with, If DDP can get Scott Hall clean wwe should give him a full time job helping the roster and wrestlers of the past with there drug and alcohol problems, or at least just send the wrestlers to DDP, by the sounds of it he's got a good thing going here and if Vince's bankrolled him a bit they could do some great work.
LOL at bashing WWE's wellness program. Like it's their fault they put people in there who end up failing because they want to continue their addictions.

Nash is an asshole, he tweeted saying along the lines that he said yoga was an option a while ago as if he's some saviour and he deserves credit for the idea. Fuck off Nash
At this point, I'm thinking Kevin Nash is a negativity that Scott Hall doesn't need in his life. Part of the reason why it would be so hard for a guy like Scott Hall would be because he could never hang out with his friends without them constantly getting fucked up. How many stories of pills or alcohol from Kevin Nash have we seen/heard? Anyone see the Shoot Interview Nash did with Sean Waltman where Nash was drunk & crying from boxed wine? At this point, Hall needs to be surrounded by supportive & positive people, like Dallas Page, not dismissive, negative naysayers, like Kevin Nash, that only re-tell old stories about times they got fucked up.
I have no doubt that Nash is sincere in wanting to see Hall get better & that he loves him as a friend but that does not mean you use a public platform to convey your doubt & pessimism, especially about someone that is trying to help him.
Going from being a big deal that parties every night with your friends & the fame from working in front of thousands of people to being an old man with addiction & no fame is a pretty big shock to the system. Then whenever you do go out or get seen by fans, everyone around you is partying or offering to buy you drinks & shit. That's a lot to deal with, even for strong people without addiction/alcoholism.
Another point to be made is that the DDP House allows for these former stars to reclaim some of their lost fame. With the YouTube videos & whatnot, they have a constant source of positivity & attention from their fans. They can reach out to them, via Twitter, YouTube, etc. It would not feel as lonely, like a rehabilitation center would. Plus, it's a lot closer to the real world than being confined to a building with people shielding you from your vices.
To be honest, I'm kind of surprised they are being honest about Jake having a drink. They could just hide it and make believe it never happened. Hats off to them for being open and honest about it.
Holy fuck Luger looks like you can poke him and he'll fall over and die.
