Re: Have you ever stopped watching wrestling?

I stopped watching wrestling a bit back in 2002. Nothing exciting was happening in that year and my interest in wrestling was starting to fade. I started watching full-time again right back in mid-2003 due to Smackdown being amazing and consistent with their shows that year.

Re: Have you ever stopped watching wrestling?

Stopped watching wrestling all together from 2007 to early 2012 don't watch the E though I watch TNA & a little bit of ROH. When I got back into it last year I watched bits of TNA from 04-06 so I could get up to speed

Re: Have you ever stopped watching wrestling?

I was never completely OUT of wrestling (I would read results and dirtsheets weekly) , but when Jeff Hardy won the WWE Championship I looked at the company and the direction they were taking and I said "FUCK THIS SHIT" , kind of like what's going to happen if Punk ever gets super demoted, Brock leaves again, and RYBACK wins the WWE championship.

I still watched my DVDs and legitimately cared about wrestling in general... Tried TNA and it honestly wasn't for me and I thought it just felt really minor league (doesn't matter to me now btw, TNA can put on some good shit I suppose).... Thought that if the company could make Jeff Hardy champion than ANYBODY could be champion, depressed the shit out of me believe it or not.

What got me back into watching full time (well.... Almost full time, the only show I watch is RAW and I catch all the PPVs... Even when I was out of wrestling I still watched Wrestlemania and didn't miss XXV or XXVI thank god) ? None other than CM fucking Punk of course. I'm seeing a common link between Punk and alot of people here coming back into wrestling.

I swear I've spent hundreds of dollars in PUNK merchandise over the last two years. PUNK DA GAWD GETTIN' IT DONE. Now Lesnar's back and GAME wrestles on occasion... I'm in wrestling heaven until I'm reminded that fucking ROCK is WWE champion.

So with that being said, all of the intangibles that a quarterback is supposed to have, they overlooked it with him because it was burning from inside of him" - Ray Lewis on Tom Brady

Stopped watching in 2005 and started watching again in 2010 because of Nexus. Really enjoyed all of 2011, but I've been tuning in and out during most of 2012/2013.

Re: Have you ever stopped watching wrestling?

Stopped watching in 2001 and didn't pick it back up again until the beginning of 2011. When The Rock came back it brought me back in but CM Punk is what has kept me watching.

Re: Have you ever stopped watching wrestling?

Ive been a fan since I was a kid. My earliest memory is probably Wrestlemania X. But around 09 or so It started becoming less important to me, and I started missing Raw and Smackdown to the point I didn't know what was going on. I would tune back in every now and then (mostly during Wrestlemania) Then during Wrestlemania last year I decided to get back to watching it full time.

Re: Have you ever stopped watching wrestling?

After Cena beat HHH at WM22, I knew the torch was passed and we'd start seeing Cena win every match. and I think that was the year he was at his all time high, right? Like won 8 straight PPV matches. all I know is I didnt watch for almost four years after that.

Top three favorite wrestlers of ALL TIME
1.Triple H
2.Chris Jericho
3.Randy Orton
