Re: Have you ever stopped watching wrestling?
I was never completely OUT of wrestling (I would read results and dirtsheets weekly) , but when Jeff Hardy won the WWE Championship I looked at the company and the direction they were taking and I said "FUCK THIS SHIT" , kind of like what's going to happen if Punk ever gets super demoted, Brock leaves again, and RYBACK wins the WWE championship.
I still watched my DVDs and legitimately cared about wrestling in general... Tried TNA and it honestly wasn't for me and I thought it just felt really minor league (doesn't matter to me now btw, TNA can put on some good shit I suppose).... Thought that if the company could make Jeff Hardy champion than ANYBODY could be champion, depressed the shit out of me believe it or not.
What got me back into watching full time (well.... Almost full time, the only show I watch is RAW and I catch all the PPVs... Even when I was out of wrestling I still watched Wrestlemania and didn't miss XXV or XXVI thank god) ? None other than CM fucking Punk of course. I'm seeing a common link between Punk and alot of people here coming back into wrestling.
I swear I've spent hundreds of dollars in PUNK merchandise over the last two years. PUNK DA GAWD GETTIN' IT DONE. Now Lesnar's back and GAME wrestles on occasion... I'm in wrestling heaven until I'm reminded that fucking ROCK is WWE champion.
