Default Did Rock peak too early?

What do you reckon would have happened after the Attitude Era had Rock not got the role in The Scorpion King and the other roles leading up to his move to Hollywood?

What feuds would you have liked to of seen? What more do you think he could he have given?

No way. He's only temporarily back so therefore everyone knows he'll be written out after Wrestlemania. There's a buzz about him for sure but its not the same as his run in late 99-2000 with Rock and Sock and the feuds with Triple H and Benoit.

By peak in the OP I meant did he showcase his talents and leave too early / how much more could he have given?

People who only started watching from 2004 onwards.

Judging from the amount of people who didn't even know what The People's Elbow is in the Royal Rumble thread, there are a lot of them here, not just you.

Anyone else here thinks the Rock got stronger since his return in 2011 (despite the ring rust)? Or is it just favorable booking (i.e undefeated)?

the rock peaked in 2000, nobody was more world widely popular than rock in 2000. he was pulling 6-7 ratings, get god like merch sales, and by far the biggest star in the world at the time, i mean he made an appearance and the republican national convention for god sake.

I don't think he's ever reached his full potential, tbh. He left when he was only 30yrs.

As far as his peak year, I'd say, as an overall performer, he peaked in 2002.
