Fairly new here, and just recently got back into WWF/WWE after a very long break. Last I remember of the "World's Strongest Man" he was having absurd story-lines like the baby with Mae Young and was pretty much a jobber in most people's eyes. Hell I even had a friend that must of been a part of the IWC at the time, tell me that the WWE was purposely throwing him awful angles in hopes he would just quit because he was signed to a really bad 10 year contract. Sorry if this has been answered before, but I've been trying to play catch-up with all the shit I missed and I'm finding it hard to believe this guy is that over.

Well, I remember there was this one promo backstage where he said he was tired of not being treated right. He was in tears with anger, saying he's done trying to please everyone else.

Mid-2011 when he turned heel on Raw one week. Then he just went on a rampage and started his awesome "Hall of Pain" run. Dominated the shit out of everyone, including the likes of Sheamus. Won the WHC from Orton. Had some great matches with Big Show, and some awesome TV bouts with Daniel Bryan. Then he got injured . Then had some awesome TV matches with Punk, then had to get his injury sorted out. Now he's back .

Though he has shown signs of this kind of greatness in the past. 06 SD against the likes of Rey and Benoit, 03 Raw against GOLDBERG, 08 ECW title run... but injuries, random face turns and shitty feuds/pairing him with guys he had little chemistry with, prevented him from fully unleashing the BEAST within.

When they turned him heel 2 years, that started his push as a monster. He had the Hall of Pain, where he would beat wrestlers up and he injured Kane, Big Show and a couple of others. Beat Orton for the World title, eventually losing it to Big Show.

I respect Mark Henry so much. He is an athlete and an amazing one at that for his size and he seems like a stand up guy! I'm glad he's been getting the attention he deserves. He's been with the company for awhile and iv never heard a bad thing!
